Buy him Arma 2, say "here, this so much more fun than DayZ". If he buys DayZ just kill him over and over again and tell him that's not how you're meant to play this game. maybe tell him there's only 2 guns and almost no ammo. Or if he kills unarmed people he'll get kicked/banned

Not irrelevant . These features keep people playing and make it more fun. Not everyone is a KoSer like you who has nothing better to do than shoot everything

Low population server. Head In-Land away from the coast. Begin searching small houses and homesteads, I found quite a good bit of supplies in them. Try places like Zelenogorsk. You'll find small stuff like sardines and powdered milk. I suggest finding an experienced player to help you out

Screwdriver can open cans. Sardines don't require anything to open either. Hope I helped somewhat

On my first hour in the SA, I had a un-spectacular encounter. Hoewver, I felt the need to share it, as it instilled a good sense of fear in me, and brought back memories of noob DayZ. I had just found a canteen, gloves and a motorcycle helmet. I ws quite pleased with myself and decided to go to Balota. After looking in the ATC tower I decided to check out the barracks across the way. But as I ran across the strip, I herd muffled voices behind me. I spun around to see two individuals decked out in gear. They were aiming at me while muffling something. I quickly hit F1 and waved at them. Then I typed "hi" "i'm friendly" "i'm just gonna go to the barracks ok?" *Muffled voices*. I stood still for a moment, but the 2 survivors disappeared around the corner, so I assumed they weren't scum. Short tale :( but it was the most exciting moment I had in the SA as of yet. Thanks to Rocket n' team for the great game!

Never said it wasn't realistic. But TTSKO is in use by Russian Federation. CDF use different stuff. Keep it to be canon with ArmA 2's Russia Invades Chernarus story, but make CDF clothing more common
