I want to see players slow down after sprinting too. I'm all for having a few slow zombies. Please note the idea of zombie health/speed determined by DBZ (Death By Zomb) ratio per area, monitored by server. Areas with starving zombies will have slower zombies. But the annoying "slowdown" period for zombies is ridiculous. So they can withstand 20 hits to the head with a crowbar but they can't even sprint for more than 20m.

Gonna share my first and best DayZ mod experience ever. I had just spawned in. It as extremely dark.I felt like RPing today, so I gave my character a background, I had been washed off a Chernarussian freighter. I made my way up the road. "This must be that place outside Elektro". I pulled a flare and came closer to the warehouses. Suddenly I heard a gurgling scream..."Hello?" I asked over mic in direct chat. The growls grew louder. I could hear panting and footsteps on the road. I sprinted into a nearby warehouse and closed the doors. My heart was pounding, In-Real-Life. As the footsteps quietened down. i decided to look for something to defend myself in the warehouse. After popping a flare, I saw, before my very eyes, a pristine Lada. Quickly I hopped in and turned the key. Yes! Full tank. I jumped out leaving the engine on, and opened the warehouse doors. Hopped back in, and rumbled out, the blood flecked faces of the crazies remained on my mind as I drove into the night, as the screams died down. I drove into town. The streets lay abandoned...Occasionally I glimpes a dead or crazed Chernarussian Soldier around the blockades...I left the car on the street and went into the firestation...Nothing...I decided to climb to the roof and look for survivors, using my last flare to illuminate the road . Nothing. Damnit I returned to the street, pitch black, the only source of light was the Lada...As I approached the car, I heard the scream of an infected, then another, then another, gradually growing into a collective scream. I jumped in, heart racing, put the keys in the ignition, and maneuvered the car between the wreckage and barricades. The occasional blood splattered face being illuminated in the headlights. I just kept driving. Playing music into my mic to calm my nerves. As I drove out of Chernogorsk, I spotted a figure running in the darkness, excited, I honked the horn and pulled in. "Hey,fella, get in!" I shouted. I popped the lock and the stranger jumped in. We exchanged names. It turned out this guy was a RPer too, he had come from the same ship as I had, we discussed what had happened to the people here. When we were done talking I continued driving. We looted a few houses, worked together, found an old Winchesters. Found a Huey, but our adventure was ended

I would love to see an Offline mode as I don't have very good internet, nor 24-7 access to it. Stewam Offline Mode DayZ also just allows you to see your character.

Actually DayZ's setting is no where near Czechoslovakia. Chernarus is a republic, the terrain is based off a Chernarus in Czech republic.

Actually Chernarus is an independent Republic, geographically based off Chernarus in Czech Republic

A while back when I got SA, I was called JesusTM or something. I had gone straight north and got some nice kit with my clan. When they left I headed up to Green MT. to see the CDF Barracks. Then I had to go so logged out behind a bed. When I log back in there's these 2 heavily equipped guys. I start panicking and put my hands up. I type stuff like "Hi, friendly? Look I don't want trouble" "I'll give you anything you need" "Don't kill me, man". One guy pulls out his M4A1 and fires in my direction. I hit the Disconnect button, with minor injuries. I felt annoyed that they shot at me when they had the chance to rob me or hold me prisoner. But was I right to do it? I've only been Kosed twice. Once when I was a freshie heading north when some guy shot me while I was unarmed. The next time was when I waved to a guy and had my rifle holstered and he spun around and shot me.
