I love Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" both the book and the film. It was a world filled with cannibals, violence, hunger, and death. It would be really cool if DayZ was like that too. Old hunting rifles. ToS-7. TOZ-34. Medved 9. CZ550 Extrememe rarity of supplies. At the moment you can get fully supplied with a bag of provision by heading in-land. It should be more where there's only a half can of food per village or something. The big stocks of food being in, underground cellers i the wilderness, or Chernarussian Defense Force stockpiles. -Bitter Cold Climate. People would abandon the military look for more suitable clothing. -Cannabalism. Simply have the the option to "Butcher, Eat" a corpse. It could be a simple animation where you act like you're gutting an animal. Then you receive "Meat" in your inventory that must be roasted. -Extreme rarity of fuel. -Shopping Trolley "Vehicle" simply pushed along to carry supplies. -Equipable blankets. Drag a blanket onto character. Keep warm.

Well, look at the world of dayz. It's overgrown. Cars are rusted. What if the food was all looted and eaten? Would you prefer endless supplies of food like it is now? Look at the expiration date on cereal boxes. It's around the same time as DayZ 2017

I have a mod for Skyrim, called Imp of The Perverse's More Complex Needs. In it, yu hve to manage caloric intake, the quality of food, etc. So why not this for DayZ? it woul require some thinking, perhaps. You need to get a good amount of calories etc in you for energy, Etc. There could be Diabetic players, too. But it seems realistic that you'd need to get enough nutrients, calories and fat, fibre Etc in your diet to remai healthy.

I see no point in not having singleplayer. the only player iteractio right now is a bullet to the face. And tht's not fun. And I am having fun all the time by killing zombies and looting. In all my 60+ hours I've never killed anyone

In the mod there was some servers with NPC bots who were friendly and hostile. They'd ignore you if they were friendly, and if they were hostile they were just as dangerous as players. They would go and fight other bandits in Cherno, even snipers came too. Had a long battle with them all

PVP is an integral part of DayZ. KoS is the thing the majority doesn't like. It takes no skill, no courage, no thought, just to pull the trigger. PVP, proper PVP, is robbing, torturing, slavery, and kidnapping. But no one does that. It's case of gear up and go snipe everyone or shoot everyone who has their hands up. That is Dayz, now. The zombies aren't even like the 28 days Later Infected Zombies, they're basically joggers who shsmble when they're up close. This is one of the reasons why they aren't a threat.
