I’m new to the game and finding it a little too hard starting out, but it’s this aspect that drew me to the game in the first place - a realistic zombie survival sim - so I'm willing to persevere. I still can’t help but get frustrated though. I’ve been playing for two days (and spent hours reading and watching beginner’s guides) and I still struggle to survive long enough to find supplies. Of my 20-something attempts, only once did I find a gun and ammo. However, after barely making it out of the village in one piece, I would have traded the gun and ammo (AND my left leg!) for a single piece of food. I died shortly after due to blood loss. I now prioritise things a little differently after mistakenly thinking “get a gun or die trying!” when I first started. I’m assuming food and water are number 1? And just generally surviving? Which brings me on to my next point: the aim of the game is…? Don’t get me wrong – I love the idea that it’s left up to you to play the game how you want, but if the aim of the game is just to survive, I can sit out in the woods drinking from streams and eating animals for a month or 2. I’m aware some of these comments are going to set the fanboys off, but like I said, overall I like the game. I LOVE the idea, but a few handy pointers might make my experience a little less frustrating. How long do you guys last on average? And how? Step 1: find food, step 2..? If I engage zombies, should I: A) Run. B ) Hide. C) All of the above? Any tips for a beginner would be most welcome.
