    1.13 rcon problems?

    Hi guys Since the 1.13 update, can no longer connect to the rcon port. Have created a RConPort entry in BEServer.cfg, its starting on that port from the server console, bec can no longer connect as well as battle rcon. Anyone else?

    Server problems

    Hi I have a DayZ SA server running, but have a couple of problems. Its working fine and people can join, but there are 2 issues.... First issue is that I am getting errors when people join that indicate that the server cant run a ban check on the guid with the battleye server, the error message is this ... Verified GUID( ........) of player # (name) Could not connect to BE Master Disconnected from BE Master Ban check timed out, no response from BE Master The second is that the CFTOOLS website cant seem to see the server despite it showing up in both the DZSA Launcher and in the DayZ browser, and as I said before, players can connect just fine. If anyone can shed any light on these issues it would be appreciated, especially for the BE Master problem, as I cant remove the join password and go live for the dayz community to join, if the ban check isnt working properly. Thanks
  3. Hi guys Have not played for a while, so just wondering, are there any storage options in the game yet, such as tents etc? Could someone also please explain to me why the hell can you server hop? Just seems to be a complete waste of time, why is the feature there and what purpose is it trying to accomplish? Thanks

    Central Hive Poll

    Hi guys. This post is basically for the devs, I dont see the point in having a central hive and believe that each server should maintain its own players, the hive, in my opinion is basically a feature that is not needed and developement time could be spent on more important things, as its not actually providing anything useful. Let me know what you think. L8rs

    Game Mechanics

    Hi guys Let me first say that I like the direction that the mod is taking with zombies being a real threat, but I do not believe its balanced. Everyone wants a realistic game, that takes skill to survive, but you also have to take into consideration the limitations of the game engine and previous decisions on game play. Since the patch, I have seen people saying that stealth is the answer, crouch walking and crawling works, well does it? This is a limitation of the game engine, if your crawling and get spotted, there is a big chance of getting hit because its so slow to get back up and when your up it kind of pauses before you can start running. Is it really fair then, to not only get hit but also get an infection from a limitation of the game engine? Another scenario carries on from above, so now your infected and bleeding, you can now no longer be stealthy because your going to die, you need to bandage yourself and for a new character probably need to find antibiotics as well, so you leg it to a building to patch yourself up but on the way attract loads of zombies who follow you into the building, you bandage, you still need antibiotics, but cant leave because of zombies in the hallway. Now you have a choice, if your carrying a primary or secondary, you can fight your way out, with the risk of attracting yet more zombies, or you wait for them to leave, now because of a limitation in the engine you cant use your hatchet to accomplish the same task, sure, you can drop the primary and equip the hatchet, but the primary you just dropped may dissappear, after all the hard work to find it you now run the risk of losing it. Say you make it out, and get to a hospital, but wait, there,s no antibiotics, so now you have maybe a 3hr character who is passing out or is going to start passing out and you have 50/50 chance of making it to the woods, to try and find an animal to give yourself more time, and thats of course assuming you have managed to find both matches and a hunting knife. If you havnt, then your screwed and have just waisted 3 hrs only to have to start all over again. If you have then there is still a chance your not going to find an animal anyway and could waste more time until you die. People play games to have fun, this is not fun. As I see it, at the moment, its impossible to lone wolf as it stands. There needs to be a balance, at the moment, either the infection rate is to high, or you lose to much blood from the infection, because its ruined it. I do have a solution to this problem, and that is to allow people to give themselves a blood transfusion and maybe slow the rate of blood loss from infection, and leave everything else as it is. This would give players more time to find the scarce antibiotics. You could also completely remove the infection chance from blood transfusions,as it makes no sense, because the blood in blod bags would have been screened anyway. Thats my opinion, you dont have to like it, I dont care. L8rs
