Hey folks! New to this forum, so I'm very sorry if I've misplaced this thread. I've been told that DayZ is very CPU intensive, so that has me worried (regardless of the fact that my specs are higher than recommended specs) Radeon HD 7850 3.4ghz Quad core GPU Phenom II x4 965 Black edition cpu GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ 970 Sata 6Gb/s mobo with 8gigs of Ripjaw DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) RAM So what kind of frames can I expect from these system specs? I would appreciate it if you could guesstimate frames I would get from all low/medium/high settings. ^(Yeah I know the standalone is supposed to release to public alpha via steam this month or the next, but CO potentially going on Summer steam sale? I dont think I can wait :D Thanks a lot!

Oh yeah? That gives me hope. I really hope the Steam Summer sale starts soon, I'll pick up CO. Someone said it was on sale a couple weeks ago for about 8-9$ USD, but I thought it only ever went down to 15?

yeah, I saw some screenshots of foliage high vs low... Idunno, i dont think I can stand a game without grass lol. I'm still of two minds whether to buy Arma II to play DayZ because the standalone alpha is right around the corner either this month or next. Idk, I really want to play some DayZ though -_- ALSO: I was reading this http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28160-guide-how-to-set-up-your-graphics-properly/ Which states that if you turn settings to high+, it switches over to your GPU instead of your CPU, which makes the game MUCH smoother for some people with better GPU's than CPU's... Back to origional Post...eh? :D Sounds like a win.
