R4ZOR49, any chance on unbanning some of the weapon crates we used to have available in the past? i really dont understand why they got banned, is it due to hackers or something?

If that is the real cause to the problem it needs changing. People love the missions they can do, it keeps them bussy alot more then looting and shooting zombies.

the only way an AH would stop it from working is if the dialog idd is not whitelisted... so thats up to the admins to actually know what their doing. And that is one of the big problems these days there all nubcakes who are uterly clueless what their doing... On the flipside id like to report that the rope equip item is causing graphical artifacts like the barbwire fence does...

the only reason for the devs having done it this way is to make it the least performance hungry, in the dayz scripting community there are other options available but those are heavy on the system... I say it was a good call on them to do it this way!. A better solution would be to add a keypress for it like one of the user actions...

The new build system: No part requirements in the config hpp files yet so thats kinda weird right. The camera is really weird and cluncky, the height for the shanty building is to low i'd say. you can currently only rotate and the up and down keys are commented out in the spaceinterupt. Overall a nice idea but i'd like it to be more an intensive job to build a house like it is on origins

its in the hiveExt.ini file your date is set to Static you could try Local or Offset to match your timezone.

Euhm that just seems like making it hard on yourselves with all those weapon/tool states (item decay) For example you could just do a check if someone has MeleeMachete in weapons or ItemMachete in tools and then perform the gutting action at first without taking decay into account untill you got decay models to work with... in the gutAnimal file just add checks for the allowed weapon/tool types to gut animals and add meat accoridingly on the dead animal. I do fully understand what you try to achieve and yes that's not possible without the new models needed. I'm used to achieving things with workarounds cause i myself am aswell not capable to create new models at this time, mostly due to lack of time. The decay for a razorblade i sorted by just allowing it to be use only once and delete the item from a players inventory and have some cutText saying it broke in the process and then give them 50% of vanilla meat. Razor i'm totaly not complaining here or trying to say anything negative towards your months and months of hard work and dedication at all! I love your work and dedication and you are an example for me. Could it be possible to add @MAP_EU to the dayz addons pretty please :D, few other derivative dayz mods have it and it is pretty sweet to have that editor pack addon available.

gutting with different items then a knife is so possible i have that on our uk431 servers... just pointing out since the knive never goes into the hands does it mather that a razor is a magazine and not an item??? .... ;)

my added buildings dont come from the database but sqf files loaded server side before hive starts loading vehicles due to issues with vehicles clipping trough buildings if done the other way around ;) If those POI's are added trough means of sqf files i dont see a need for a disable option as it can just be stripped out if desired by private hived server hosters...

Alot of the the private servers have invested hours upon hours of doing their own custom map edits and that could inflict with vanilla POI's Shure will inflict on our servers where we have bout 55 seperate edited areas and that's covering months of adding in custom/customized area's.

Razor, are those POI's removable or added to the base map like those barbwires on top of cherno hotel?

Razor, i have an important question about 1.8.1 update. Did the hive.dll have any changes that will make reality entirely useless. due to new stuff being saved to the database at all? or will i still be able to do a manual patching of my reality builds. If reality is going to be fully incompatible i'd like to get an honest answer so i can start working on running an official files / db sheme test server on my dedicated box. Cheers Soul!

The Prison complex holds 4 barracks and is very often a bloody battlefield, being visited regularly by our older players! -
Best thing would be to drop aggro to all "AIR" in my opinion unless their height is at landing altitueds like below 20 or so...

One suggestion i'd make at this point The object_build.sqf needs some work. The collision detection is way to picky. There's no way you can block cars with tank traps etc atm cause it keeps saying it failed to build. Even tho it is in fact not colliding at all (visually) i know the calculated bounding box will ofc be colliding so that tells me that the system is failing. Seems to be a difficult one to get just right isnt it Razor? Also people dont seem to build camp anymore due to this, tent population dropped right to about a 1/5 of what we used to have on 1.7.7.1 and i pin this down to the new placement system and more of so the collision problems with it. So i hope this gets some daylight and a possible tweak/fix or tonedown to it. Other then that i really do like the last patches/updates and i cant wait to see 1.8.1 implemented since it seems to promise some very interesting new systems!
