True. But it might do the exact opposite of what your saying, and make people just shoot on sight even more often, since with more zombies, people REALLY wouldn't want to go into towns unless they have to. So the solution? Kill more players out in the woods where they're safe from a hoard of zombies that they don't have enough ammo to take on. That's if other people had supplies. Which more than likely they wouldn't with the Increased difficulty.

Update your dayz to 1.7 and try the new beta patch - http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php However use ARMA2_OA_Build_93415.zip. Not the newest one, I've heard it has server issues. If you have steam follow these steps to launch from it - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2728714 Hope it helps, this is my setup and I rarely have server issues.

I really wish loot was a lot rarer. I find so many guns & ammo it's ridiculous. The harder they make the game, the more people will have to work together and in my opinion, you'd probably see less pvp and more trying to survive.
