    MOLLE or Modular Plate Carrier Vest

    In terms of customization its simply easier to apply standard equipment and alternatives like adding chest rig that holds 4 magazines similar fashion as holster does with pistols along with maybe 2x pouches. There will be lot more variation in equipment when DayZ reaches closer to BETA and FULL RELEASE. Inventory system needs to be simple system, not some over complicated tetris that makes the game frustrating, so in terms of space it needs to be balanced through items. Such as walkie-talkie doesnt really take 2x space, but proper radio would or expand holding capacity and balance it out with weight system. MOLLE simply isnt that much bigger then rest standard vests. MOLLE might be cool, but doesnt really fit in the world of DayZ. There will be plenty of customization anyway.

    I understand scavenging better then most In current state of game i can wear 2x or 4x shirt, 6x pants and 8x combat vest to carry everything i need to survive and combat. With addition of improvised backpack, i can carry x20 slots of empty space for scavenging stuff for my friends, while remaining well camouflaged, i could even drop out the combat vest and still have a lot of free space for anything. I dont see how MOLLE could possibly be 1,5x or 2x bigger then regular combat vest anyway without sacrificing backpack. You might squeeze 2x extra slots tops (pending on backpack). Would be simpler to add belts and combat belts with additions of leg carriers or holsters if you need that extra space.

    The modular vest system is unnecessary addition to DayZ and will require too much balancing to make it work, considering assault vests at the moment has 8 slots of space and have 8 pouches on it in total. It would be too overpowering to increase the capacity beyond over that 8 slot size with combination of improvised backpacks, making the stealthy, well camouflaged players mules.

    Naive thinking mate, you cannot trust anyone in DayZ. Where are the basis of these imaginary penalties you came up with? Have you even seen, held or used saline bag in your life?

    Sterile environment is irrelevant (just don't drop the needle once out of container and disinfect skin). It is mentioned the process should be slower then being applied by a friend. You should also factor in how junkies find their veins and then explain why can we use syringes on our character? Granted with major blood loss its pretty difficult to achieve, but then again DayZ does bend the authenticity in certain cases and i imagine we will be carrying engine blocks in our inventory again.

    Number Of Players

    The problem with this is that you cant tell your friends when slot has opened in the server, since there is no queue system implemented. So far the server hoppers are still getting killed pretty well, specially when they join freshly reset servers that get filled instantly.
  7. There are servers that broadcast warnings on pending reset and if you stick with regular server you know the reset schedule. In some random servers admins are abusing their power and reset servers at their pleasure to re-loot valuable locations and give no warning about the imminent reset.

    You are being delusional or just naive. The whole blood bag conundrum doesnt impact the kill-on-sight ör cooperation mechanic in anyway, simply because random people cannot be trusted and that is why majority of the community plays with their online friends they know. Random players cannot be trusted and only ones that do interact with them in cooperative manner are the hero players. Please explain how does suggestions such as thing make the game broken and a deathmatch? Do you even realize that equipment will break during combat, so its not like people can restore themselves back in to the fight, not to mention make themselves vulnerable and if you inspect filled blood bag it notes that it should be kept refrigerated, so its very likely it will not be never ending supply of blood. This isnt a matter that i really really really want as you claim i want, as i already explained i play in groups and even if i didnt i can always ask online friend to hop on same server at same place and help me, so doesnt matter to me. If you trust people blindly ingame you are going to die a lot.

    I have field medic training and i see no difficulty in applying a IV bag on your own. Only difference is the time that it takes to apply it.

    Could you put in terms why authenticity isn't valid argument, rather then vague speculations on Deans motives and your feelings about it? In terms of bending of authenticity should work the other way, not the way you describe. Such as helicopter repair is something that cant really be done without spending years collecting heavy machinery to repair it and nobody could really carry whole rotor assembly in their backpack, but this is a line they bent in the mod and i believe they will bend in standalone as well. Also self-applying blood bags would actually have positive impact to gameplay. Bandits work in teams and hunt other players, so self-applying doesn't really benefit to them, but benefits the players whom are playing alone against impossible odds and are often new comers to the game. On other note hermit players are less likely to engage groups of survivors since player is outnumbered and is easily overwhelmed. Besides i generally play in a group and it doesn't seem fair when my opponents are in a disadvantage. When i play alone and should i get wounded, i can always logout and wait for my friend to arrive to my position and heal me. Is this really fair for new comers and hermits?

    Laughing at him/her was completely unnecessary mate The basis of DayZ is suppose to be able to have transferable skill in to the game and aim for authenticity, which means its perfectly legit argument to say, it should be applied in the game, simply because its possible in real life. Also self-applying blood bags were made possible in the DayZ mod by the community. EDIT : DayZ was never about teamwork, its about survival.

    Realistically speaking there are certain steps you need to follow. A. Applying strap to your limb B. Disinfect injection area of the skin C. Inject needle to blood vein (should be possible on your own, considering even junkies can do it). D. Remove strap E. Open needles "injection port" F. Apply IV bag The difference between applying yourself and someone helping you is the time to do that list. It will not have any effect on how fast you recover your blood since IV bag is injected directly to your bloodstream. If anything IV bag recovers lost blood faster then obtaining liquids orally.

    Stories Of Chernarus

    [i am importing the suggestion from dayz mod section to here, where suggestions for SA where previously posted and it does collaborate/expand one the suggestion recently made called military treasure.] Stories of Chernarus Chernarus is foreign place to even the most veteran DayZ players and nobody knows about anything what transpired to cause the zombie outbreak or history of Chernarus. My suggestion is about adding fictional stories scattered around the world to explain the life that was before and after the outbreak. That can be found within diaries, notes and military reports, which may contain tragic stories, useful tips or location of potential loot, that might be encrypted to offer a hobby ingame, as you travel. These stories could add more immersion to the game and act as guides in the process.

    Sleeping-And Regeneration.

    Once you get blood loss, then you get thirsty and can drink considerable amount of liquid to replenish the blood. That is actually the weirdest thing in DayZ, that drinking liquids doesn't replenish your blood, but ton of solid food does. Sleeping doesnt really offer any immersion or anykind of purpose. Sure you could add penalties, but then it becomes more of an annoyance (specially for people whom play little at a time). Think the sitting option works just as fine in terms of resting, while you are exhausted or sick.

    Ctrl+Z to go prone and takeoff your backpack at once.

    The whole function is flawed, if this action is suppose to keep your backpack from despawning on reset, then it would mean once you are under fire your character needs to waste several seconds on animation to put the backpack on, which point you are already dead. Its simply easier to play like experienced veteran, by either traveling without a backpack or traveling with the most smallest camouflaged one.

    Not really a priority at the moment, considering the HIDE BODY option is a way to confirm if player is dead.

    Night vision needs to be implemented ASAP

    NVGs most likely wont be implemented in a while and if you have trouble seeing then simply max out gamma and brightness. They however will definitely be consuming electrical power. Considering i have used the walkie talkie and it emptied my pristine battery from electrical charge over time.

    Could you pronounce the beginning without making yourself appear such a douche? I am aware of the math, but i am not wasting time counting each category on that list, which if implemented could contain more scoring opportunities then the list currently holds. For example. players driven over, swimming players killed or players blown up and so on...

    PvE and PvP Server

    This feature shouldnt be in the product itself. However i do believe with good modders could potentially make similar scenario as domination in arma 2 and invade&annex in arma 3. Where players attempt to contain the outbreak together and with features of DayZ maintain logistics.

    Screaming zombies

    The zombies do not oppose a threat in Chernarus and this should be corrected towards the general fiction of zombies. Where survivors take cautious approach to them, rather then ignoring them and fighting them like rambos. I suggest adding aspect of screams or roars for the zombies, so reckless looting is far more dangerous. As their screams attract the attention of other zombies and players in the region. It could potentially end up creating dynamic zombie hordes, as scattered zombies start to group towards the screams (which would fit the element of non-scripted events).

    Survivor Stories: Authentic Leader Boards

    Not good idea to implement scoreboard on a survival game. Half of the scoring encourage extreme bandit behavior that results in massive fresh spawn slaughers and the other half is unreliable competition where you can play dirty, for example. Damaging your friends and healing them afterwards and repeat.

It maybe possible suggestion may exist in some form in the dayz mod section since DayZ standalone section is pretty new or if it exists in section called something like "interesting ideas" then having own topic is fine. The grass is indeed a problem, often it blocks the sniper scopes vision and remains flatten only short period of time and if you move to flatten it constantly you keep giving your position away with unnecessary movement. The grass wont give you any cover by the way if you are sniping long range, since at long distances it wont render.

    Did you use the search function? Cause i got 0 results. "They're going to add lots of zeds to make them scarier." This response of yours has nothing to do with this suggestion A. Didnt say anything about making them scarier B. Didnt say add more zombies
  25. Guides wont fix the issue of people hacking in video games. My theory is hackers mainly consist of sadists. I reached this conclusion on basis that whole aspect of hacking in video games overrides the entertainment and purpose of the video game, so hacker itself isnt playing the game at all, but doing nothing other then inflicting pain on other players by any means necessary.
