Sa is $30. It does not need Arma 2 because, as the name suggests, it is a standelone game. You need Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA for the mod however, but the mod is not SA.

IF you have it installed already then come and explore the new areas, try the new guns. Learn to deal with the new zombies. That and most of the Desync issues have been fixed. -

It is the new server messaging system. Hopefully it is ported to A3 or the next Arma as i'm sure this sort of stuff happened in the arma games. -
Slang. There are no special zombies unless you count the jobs they had in a previous life. (eg. soldier zeds which take a little bit more DMG due to armour). Rocket and co have said that there will be no special infected.

1. There is already a hidden logout timer of 30 secs. And no. 2. Because they are in real life. Also the Art team (the ones making guns and such) don't fix bugs, they make art. 3. Aim for the head. That's the only way to kill a traditional zombie. 4. Police uniform on the way. I don't know how well the fire effects on this engine will be though. 5. Mp5 is coming. 6. Mosin isn't a sniper rifle, it is a battle rifle that has been forced into service as a sniper due to constraints in available weapons and peoples expectations of the game. It should be situational. In a real apocalypse i'm going to be more comfortable firing a crossbow when i'm surrounded by zeds that haven't aggroed than any non-suppressed firearm. Then again that isn't going to be a comfortable situation.

The game is in alpha, thus it is not finished. Therefore things will be broken, even in "Stable". Just because the build is titled "Stable" doesn't mean it is all that stable. However people have been screaming for binos since December and thus many are happy to have them even if they only work when you stand up.

Hidden buffs to accuracy? The cross-hair actually being on target (recent update confirmed that the scope was a bit off center and was corrected)? Quickly, someone get an m4 and waste a mag trying to find out if it is more accurate.

I'd bet that even with my shitty skills, especially after the update which makes walking through walls due to desync impossible (lost an axe vs B95 fight in the ship this way, blew both rounds at the hip into the walls the guy was passing through or had just passed through and died trying to load another 2 without a speed loader) , I could out gun anyone that has a crossbow with my standard setup of Sawnoff and magnum as long as i could see them before they shot. If i never see them coming then it doesn't matter. I'm already dead.

The story behind DayZ (as confirmed by Hall himself) that the zombies are infected humans, not dead that have risen. Therefore this suggestion is implausible.

Why does the cross bow do more damage than the m4?

ft/lbs =/= F/S ft/lbs = torque f/s = speed Sure a 556 round goes fast but it is tiny in mass compared to an arrow going much slower. If speed was everything then the 500 magnum wouldn't be the most powerful handgun in the world, a wildcat that uses a 9mm sized bullet (.357 sig for example) would be.
