I wanted one of those but they were hard to get over here. Ended up getting a Lenovo b590 with the i5 and nvidia graphics.

I'll give my specs for a second and then think about rocket's specs for his comp. i5 3230 (2.6 - 3.2 ghz) Nvidia 610gt 1gb 4gb ram 15.6 inch screen 500gb hdd. Laptop. Which means all those components are mobile models(and therefore slower and prone to overheating). From what i've seen rocket has a decent quality Alienware, most likely putting it leaps and bounds ahead of my system. This is why i think i'll have to run SA on low.

Wouldn't that then go against any NDAs in effect? unless he is BSing about the date or i haven't heard that rocket has said it will be out by the end of 2013 ( not that youtube vid which quotes rocket in 2012 saying it will be out by the end of the year)

Well rocket is on the server. Cue either a new build/update on reddit or a massive test later on after some tweaks.

Doesn't look like it. Doesn't even look like they even have the right amount of testers needed to get to the magical 50 player mark on the server. Nobody currently in the server and only 18 currently in game (http://steamdb.info/graph/221100/). It certainly ain't happening this fine morning. EDIT: there appears to be some movement on the server and the game.

It's kinda hard. I'm not supposed to tell you this but rocket and half of BIS gets blown up about 15 minutes from now, PEST. It was devestating hearing the news, but it hasn't reached your shores yet. i joke of course but you know all you guys were scared

Well that is easy to understand. Everyone makes mistakes. Hell for all i know SmashT lives on the other side of the country which means it is still yesterday over there. (bout 2hrs difference between Queensland and WA +or- 1 depending on DST which Queensland doesn't have)

0100hrs on the 15/11/13 in Australia, mate. This is also coincidentally where I, SmashT and several others on this forum come from.

Rocket has been quoted saying something to the effect of "a server population of 50 will indicate a release happening soon." I hope he starts handing out keys like a granny hands out sweets to her grandkids.

Criteria for Habbenings 50 or so players currently in game(found here http://steamdb.info/graph/221100/) then those 50 or so players to get into the server (found here http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/37.220.18.218:27016/ or here http://www.game-monitor.com/dayz_GameServer/37.220.18.218:27016/DayZ_Steam_Testing_Server_Rev._112296__only-.html) As of this time 25 people are in game and 3 people are on the server. Let the games (or should i say wait) begin! EDIT: do we even know if they have over 30 people to test with?

Well thanks, now i'll never get this assignment done. Was going to pull an all nighter for it but now i'm just gonna be too distracted.
