I get 20-30 FPS on average in the mod and i am yet to play SA as i haven't been able to get a proper internet connection so i can download it. specs i5-3230m 2.6-3.2 GHz 4gb ram intel HD graphics 4000 nvidia geforce 610M 15.6 inch screen all those numbers are from Dayz mod on low, according to the FPS counter in Dxtory.

It is possible to convert a colt python to 9mm through some machining and moon clips, however not many people do it as it is now a collectors gun due to colt refusing to make any more. You are right about a standard 357 revolver also being able to use 38 special.

The only way that a silencer will alter the flight of the round excessively is if it hit the bullet. Other than that, all suppressors will effect the round exactly the same (in theory). But like always... And i know sh*t all about the differences between "wet" silencers and "dry" silencer other than one has some water in it.

Filing the trigger won't make a gun full auto, it will make it (in rare occasions) slam fire a full mag till it is dry without stopping or ruin the gun (much more likely). Though sawn offs are fairly easy to do unless you are cutting a semi auto too short, and accidentally cut off a vital piece.

Actually the interchangeable silencers (actually suppressors but i will use silencers for ease of understanding) thing is quite common, infact you could buy a silencer that fit a 45acp and use that on anything smaller than .454 caliber rounds. With small change to the effectiveness of the silencer. You know those videos with nagant revolvers with silencers on them? they most likely are either using 30 cal rifle silencers or 9mm silencers with spacers.

On rare items, I think GPS should be made less rare. A large number of people around the world have GPS in their cars, or go hiking with one, so it would not be unimaginable for them to be more common to find. The really rare one would be military issue, which might be more accurate or have more features or use less batterys or be tougher oot something. Make a mil-spec GPS which is ultra rare and make a civvie GPS be more common than a axe (how many people do you know who have a gps, now how many would have an axe?) but require rare batteries or something.

Hey, i haven't even played SA (quite a bit of the mod IMO) but i know a lot about guns and how games categorize things like ammo (For example, i can load the same bullets from a makarov into a 44 magnum according to Far Cry 3 but i'm not about to go out and try that IRL) so don't think you are completely noob. There are people who have never heard of DayZ, they are definitely more noob that everyone who has even tried it. I consider myself a noob but i know sh*t which translates to the game, you probably know stuff that's in game that i would ask a silly question about online. But it's still great that you still want to play it after some game time. I also hope that i do too.

I'd take the mosin IMO, I can't seem to aim for sh*t so the increased damage (i think there is one, cause 7.62x54r from a mosin should beat down a lot more of a beat down than a 5.56x45 from a m4 carbine) helps when i actually hit something. Disclaimer: I have bought but not played SA yet and i am basing experience from the mod where IMO m14 over everything else and m4 is better than very little other than for mag cap.

Interchangeable barrels (a f*ck load of work is put into changing barrels with all types of specialist tools unless the revolver was made for it) Interchangeable cylinders (it isn't a remington 1858 [and they don't always work like that] or a ruger blackhawk/vaquero [a single action with interchangeable 9mm or 45acp cylinders depending on type]) Caliber conversions (Again, a shitton of machining to make rounds like 9mm work in an originally 357 mag revolver properly)

Actually a match stick under the sear of a FN FAL (or SLR for us Aussies) was very effective for making them full auto. This is all according to an Ex-ADF (Aussie defense force for the uninformed) armorer who worked with 'em, or so he heard ;) .

IIRC the 380 is too damn big in case width for it to work effectively in a multi-cal revolver. I would only expect this to fire 357 or 38 special rounds (if 38 is implemented). That and 380 is rimless, meaning that even if it fit, it would just drop right down the cylinder, therefore unusable as the firing pin won't hit it. The most effective multi-caliber revolvers are either in 45 (and fire [in rare cases] everything fron 3inch 410 shot shells to 45acp {with moon clips} to 454 casull.) or have cylinders you can swap out. Snub noses are usually defined as a revolver with a barrel under (and including) 3 inches. The typical service revolver had a 4 inch barrel for ease of draw after the black powder era, with barrels of 6 inches and longer being more focused towards the shooting sports where accuracy is more important than draw speed. Still won't stop me from using a S&W M29 (Dirty harry's 44 magnum) with a 6 inch barrel, if i can get my hands on one before or during a zombie outbreak, as my main handgun. A high cap 9mm backing it up (Browning High Power anyone?) with a silencer along with a rifle or shotty as well.
