Make it spawn without a scope or bipod. No other sights on it besides the rail attached for the scope then make the ammo super rare. Along with the weapon itself. Then i would start thinking about accepting it being availible. I'd be more accepting of a single shot or low mag cap bolt action 50 over a semi.

This has been suggested thousands of times, ever since the mod. Please use the search function before posting. Also i do believe this is the first one of these threads for today. (1 am in Australia)

You could see a Quick bar glitch as a failed draw now that i think about it. As Rayland Givens said in Justified, A lot can go wrong in a quick draw.

Ok, one issue i have with the PU is the fact that when i hit the Change optic mode button while scoped it doesn't change to the iron sights. The scope is made so you can see the irons under it when needed. Just a little thing that bothered me.

One problem is the quick bar. It always seems to be glitching out, this can be a problem in duels where you draw from a holster. Though the 10 paces idea is good.

They do this at the moment, just find a zombie that hasn't been agroed and don't get too close. -
When they are implemented. So don't bother asking here, cause the Devs probably only have a small idea of a time frame and you know how quiet Rocket was about release. For all we know there won't be private hives till beta or even full release.

I need to find more mags for the FNX, more ammo for the Mosin and Magnum. The FNX is for a friend when i finally get to play DayZ with him. Also thanks to the TMW guys for patching me up after i was knocked unconscious by a Zed. My sick indicator is due to me using 2 bottles of alcohol to clean my wounds.

ladders are dangerous. Everyone who has played any Arma game (same engine as DayZ) or mod of it knows this. Don't you think it would have been fixed by now if it was easy. Though i do hope they make it easier or fix it, ladders being dangerous may just be something we have to live with it.

I'm friendly, most of the time. I'm running in the bush near Berezino with my magnum drawn, and my guy is claiming that he is about to throw up. I've lost some blood and I see what i think is a Zombie near a barn, we are both in a field by now behind it. It suddenly starts running straight towards me, at one point it occurs to me that this zombie, being at least 75m out is agroing a bit far from me but i dismiss it. I stop and think "I will try my mosin on this." and go about getting it out. Now my mosin has a PU scope on it so it was easy to line up center mass on the black silhouette but i know that it is set to 100 so i instinctively aim at crotch level. I pull the trigger, wait for my connection to catch up (ping is 800 on a good day) and see the silhouette fall. I lower my rifle, noting that i hit dead center and suddenly the body goes to crouch. I put my mosin away and pull my magnum and jog up to the "Zombie". I find out that the 7.62 bullet had hit a female but they were not dead. I knew i had the gear to patch them up and send them on their way but my mind goes to the magnum in hand. I utter through my mike "Sorry mate, I thought you were a zombie" as i line up with their head. I pull the trigger, watch the recoil settle and then the bullet hit. they slump into a fetal position and i check their gear. Nothing on them but the basics. Later on, after i have reloaded my guns i come across ammo for my 357 in Nihnznoy and several melee weapons including two axes and realize that the person i had just shot was heading straight for Berezino, possibly the Shipwreck and NEAF. They hadn't bothered to pick up anything on a newly restarted server and everything was untouched in the town. I can only conclude that this female was a KOSer as there would be no reason to pass over all those buildings and weapons if they were a survivor, a friendly so to speak, then they would have some decent stuff already. If they had had an axe on their back i wouldn't have taken the shot as i would have noticed it. Also running unarmed looks far too much like a zombie running when all you see is a silhoette and what sane survivor, that wasn't trying to KO me, would do that. I suddenly feel no remorse, I did the right thing in my eyes. I was later knocked out by a zombie but the TMW guys were awesome and patched me up.

These guys are awesome. I'd give them a 10/10 with a (relatively, due to no vehicles) quick response time and excellent bedside manor. They even gave me several cans of soda just because i was thirsty. They were so good to refuse offers of ammo, a gun and medical supplies. Thanks guys. -
My ping is anywhere between 700 and 1300 but that is because i'm on satellite internet.

If it is large enough then this all becomes moot as there would have to be zombies spawning as far as the eye can see, which is as far as the network bubble reaches. This would lead to no noticable increase in serverside FPS as the amount of players on a full release SA would lead to most of the zombies already spawning being spawned by players. -
Did you really stick a chev badge on a VE commo? Please tell me you bought it like that.

It is still the same (yet largely re-written) engine as before. Besides why don't you try sprinting straight up a 30+ degree hill with a loaded backpack and a large 2x4 (to simulate a weapon). You just can't do it, believe me i have tried and all you end up doing is having to stop more to rest with no noticeable increase in average speed.

The way the mod worked was that zombies were like loot (very, very bad loot) and they spawned when you got close enough to activate the spawn. This lead to people who had found binos (or scoped weapons) to glass an area to see if people were in the area. This was immersion breaking because in a real situation those zeds would be stumbling around no matter what. Rocket set out to change this for SA and all that is needed to make this dynamic better is to add more zombies spawning. Seriously i can sprint right to the firestations and supermarket of Elektro without agroing a zed that isn't in one of those buildings. -
You have my beans, though i think it has been suggested before. There should be different types of cleaning product and ways to clean. There are millions of ways to clean a firearm. So one way could be you need: A patch holder patches cleaning rod Balistol (brand name cleaning product which is apparently very good) or another you could need Patch holder bronze brush patches CLP cleaning rod. There should also be cleaning kits(should be able to make a cleaning kit aswell). In rifles like the Mosin, M4 and AK series there should be a possibility of them spawning with one in them as it was, and probably still is, common for there to be places for you to put a cleaning kit in and for them to be issued with one.

You can opt in and out of the experimental patches as many times as you want. If you opt out it just redownloads a 5mb file and you can play as normal.

I also have this problem. I just rolled it back and played on a regular server. I'm sure the Devs know about this problem and are fixing it before it becomes a stable release.

Nobody knows yet as the patch has only been experimental for a few hours.

I'm sorry but how long ago was the last update (not the experimental)? Oh yes, now i remember. 2 F*CKING DAYS AGO. Stop complaining about update frequency cause it ain't speeding sh*t up and all it is doing is making people pissed. For all it's worth BIS could choose to only update the game once a month, but they don't, because they are awesome motherf*ckers who have to deal with sh*t like this spamming their forums, reddit and twitter. Just because you gave 'em $30 dollars doesn't mean they have to do things any faster. /rant

Good news, there is a new update pushed to experimental. Bad news, BE is stopping me from playing on a server with the 113953 patch.
