The only reason the Brand newbies go to the internet is because they are used to getting things given to them in games. Name one "AAA" FPS or sandbox that you don't have a minimap for. At least Far cry 3 made you work for it but it was still easy. DayZ is (and I quote rocket here) "the Anti-game", it is meant to be hard, you are meant to die in minutes if only to learn how to survive for weeks the next time. What needs to happen is all these online maps to be destroyed and make the lazy f*ckers work for their enjoyment and ease of travel. If this sh*t were real and you didn't have a map then you would have to look for one and good luck at that. At least 75% of people who would have had a Refadex (Aussie map book brand) in their car now just have a GPS. GPS's have batteries which go flat so you're sh*t out of luck there. My first place to look would be info places followed by old cars, that is what happens in game and therefore it is realistic to me. If you don't like it then go Start>Control panel>Uninstall Program>DayZ>Uninstall>Ok and then follow the prompts cause this ain't the game for you.

If it is only certain servers then don't join 'em. That's the best solution i got.

It is plausible that around 10,000 or more survived and ended up in private hands and in Museums around the Russian Empire which we can assume that Chernarus was apart of. I believe that this pistol should be added as a rare spawn in civilian areas, not military as it hasn't been used by any military for the best part of a century. .44 Russian ammo should be slightly more common and still in civilian spawns, no speed loaders but possibly interchangeable grips. There should be the option to load 6 or 5. Loading 5 will be safer and loading 6 will have the possibility or going off when you go prone or are knocked down (still very little chance though). On reading it, I think this will just lead to squads of server hoppers where one person picks up everything and drops it again to let the others pick it up and then they hop and the next guy picks everything up and drops it and so on. I mean i came up with that solution after 1 minute, the only problem for me is that i don't have any friends to play with.

One thing i'd like to point out is that I said Russian Empire, not Russia. The Russian Empire covered a large portion of Eurasia, so if Chernarus was a part of it in the late 1800's then it could be possible that this weapon found it's way there. Also I believe that this weapon would be more likely to be in a place like Chernarus than a Colt Python. Other than that you guys are right.

Beset? Generally High = best graphics Very Low = Most FPS. Though the Arma engine is weird so it is best to experiment to get a good balance between FPS and graphics. Though in this game you shouldn't need more than 24FPS in cities.

That would mean that the Dev team (or at least the Map guy) would have to make up names for streets, port them to Cryllic and then design signs and such. Massive amount of work for little benefit unless they changed the map to have street names as well (though those might be in english so good luck to the people who don't understand Cryllic). The only use it will have is for the people who will play the game after the introduction of the signs when they learn them, which might take months/years (How long did it take you to memorize almost every street in your town and a few others around?) and those using 3rd party maps to find loot and such.
