I'm trying to say that he should have done better and that the M4 is inferior in my eyes compared to the shotty. If it was a full length shotgun then he needs to learn to aim because alot of people could have won that. BIS specifically went out and researched shotguns for A2 to get their spread realistic so they aren't just close range lead sprayers. Buckshot will take down anyone at 50m, unless they are wearing armour which i assumed you weren't. Also sniping with a shotty wont work, even if you load it with slugs it isn't really possible to hit consistently after 200m. Wasn't trying to flame you, just saying the other guy could have done better.

Then lower your settings, what's your FPS when it's maxed. If it's anything over 20 then you have gotten far too used to non graphic intense games (comparatively) like BF4 and so on.

If i can take a zombie down from 50m with a sawn off and one 12g shell then i can go up against an M4 is 75% of all situations between 0-75m and win. How? two words, Both barrels.

Why? Isn't the standard ballistic helmet (in OD green if you haven't seen one) camo enough for you? I find it camo enough as is.

Have you verified game files on steam? Have you updated you graphics drivers? Have you turned your computer on and off to see if the problem persists? Have you redownloaded the game to see if it is fixed by that? Other than that i'd say wait till the next update when Intel CPU graphics gets a massive FPS boost.

As much as want the M14 in the game, it's just not eastern European enough.

I honestly perfer the Hacksaw over the Machete. I can carry one in my starter pants, i have taken down a zombie in 2 hits and i don't like fist fights with zombies. The machete just takes up the slot where i can stick an Axe and is, like you said, an over sized kitchen knife.

Difference between L9A1 and a MK3 BHP, negligable. The MK3 should feed HP rounds easier than the L9, the L9 might have tougher sights and the Mk3 uses a ambi-safety but that's about it.

Germans took over the factory which made BHPs in WW2. Thus in the trenches of the western front you could have a british officer with a BHP shooting it out with a german officer with them both using BHPs. It isn't implausible that some made it to the chernarus area or that afterwards that their police picked it up as a service weapon. The BHP is a very popular pistol, just about every commonwealth country uses or used it as their service pistol and how likely is it that the Americans roped us aussies into chernarus' civil war? Pretty f*cking likely.

If there's two things used by the british that i'd like to see added then it would be the Browning Hi power and the .455 Webely. EDIT for clarification by Browning Hi power i mean the 13rd, 9mm semi auto pistol used by everyone from here to timbuktoo and not the Ma Duce.

I rember playing the mod (or a version of it, i don't remeber) i'd spawned in Cherno, found a hatchet and was making my way to the firestation. I find nothing till i get to the top floor. I find another guy with an 870 out, i freak and just whale on him, no talking, no negotiation just a full on hatchet beat down. I find that he has a ton of gear on him (i guess this firestation was good to him) including a makarovSD. 30mins of guilt i find myself in a house, not willing to go on with this character from the enormous regret i had. I hit esc and the suicide button (server was modded from normal a bit) and watched as the character put that makarov to his head and pulled the trigger. DayZ is the type of game that makes you dwell on your decisions. I'd never though i'd just kill in the game before trying to talk and this moment was a shock. This is a game that makes you live with your decisions, good and bad, make sure you wont regret them.

Rocket wanted a suicide animation for this last patch but it was too buggy. It's coming but probably as fast as you want.

The devs don't want "Types" of zombies. The only reason that the soldier zombie is buffed over the normal one is because it is assumed that it is wearing kevlar.

bandanas have been hinted at Boonie hats are already modeled and are just waiting for an update as far as i can tell face paint is something they will look at later dunno, maybe later.

I'd also like to see the rifle it replaced, if this went down IRL then the army would be issuing rifle left right and center to it's troops and they are sure to have a couple thousand VZs hanging around still. I'm pretty sure they still have some SLRs (aka L1A1 aka Fn Fal) in storage over here.

I put my guns away, unless i have 2 rifles. I figure that if i come across someone in the wilderness i have enough time to either draw my magnum or start running for cover if they are a sniper. When i clear buildings i have either a magnum or a sawn off out (or anything if i don't have one of those yet), close quarters and the slowness of the drawing animation leads to death when you meet a KOSer.
