Hi there all, I am still quite newbie to forum and this is my first Poll thread, so maybe I did something wrong there by not adding all the vote possibility in it. As we can see, 1st Vs. 3rd person view is kind of hot topic these days, so maybe more experienced users would do much better Poll thread instead of me. At this point I would agree, if you can rearrange/delete that Poll thread and make new one, that will gather all the informations/votes together and make it more sensible, so the community won't be confused of starting multiple Poll threads. If someone choose 3rd, that means it will be just as it is in mod. If you play on 3rd person view server, you can still press "enter" to go in 1st person view in situations you need to. On the other side, if you choose/vote for 1st person, that means we'll only have that one w/o ability to have 3rd person servers. I am sorry for not putting that out more clearly. I hope I didn't confuse you all.

I know narkoman14 and I understand you. And I believe there will be 3rd person in SA, so you probably don't need to worry^^. But if it is stated multiple times, that DayZ is hardcore survival game, than it should be all the way. Counter strike is also hardcore game, that only has 1st person view. If you have ever play that game, than you can imagine how would it be, if there was 3rd person option. And still, thousands of people still play it every day. It is also I believe, that people become lazy, because 3rd person was there at the beginning. If there was only 1st person, very few would care about it because of unknown. I had a patient that he was playing DayZ for only a day or two. After operation I gave him a lift. Now he is seeking a lift almost every day. And If can't give it, he is just not going to play that day. TL;DR People get used to luxury quite easy and leave or forget about it very hard.

Lets say everyone would have to insert their actual interpupillary and vertex eye distance at the character creation section. So that would result in to that, everyone would have his unique Field of Vision.

Hi there all, When I started playing DayZ two month ago, I really didn't know about nothing. So not even 3rd person view gave me advantage at the beginning, because I didn't know how to "use/exploit" it. After few days I decided to sign up for Chernarus 101 training, provided by TMW. I got all the basic principles and strategies for survival. It was one on one session that lasted around 4 hours. I learned there, how bandits are exploiting 3rd person view by laying in the house and "looking" through the window directly in supermarket and just waiting for target to get in and shoot them. Later my way leads me to become a doctor. I am very open minded and with a big heart, trying to help people around, rather than killing them. And to put my immersion in, I found it harder to be a hero than a bandit. So the point is, that I have to use 3rd person view, to clear and observe the area. When I clear the area, I let my patient in safe in game environment. Then again, when I do the blood bag, I constantly use 3rd person view to check the area and if there is zombie or player approaching I'll immediately cancel the transfusion and protect my patient. I miss 1st person gameplay, I'd love to play in only 1st person, but I have to think about my patient and his/her safety rather than I enjoy playing in that view. I'd love to feel my true moments in DayZ and create my story around it. But I just can't because I'd be very disadvantage comparing with all the players that do use 3rd person view. If there'd be only 1st person view, than I'd enjoy both do the healing and maximum experience. TL;DR I'd love to see 1st person view only. But patient first, then my deepest fun and immersion to the game. - MM

Thanks mate^^. Anyway. Yea, I play only on main hive. That "patient" outsmarted me, not knowing that glitch. And maybe on that server I met admin, which can use that "admin tools" or something like that. And then he can do teleport or I do not know what else.

I see. Well you can allways use editor, spawn yourself at the coast, add a vehicle or heli and search for that location.

Hi there, I have also seen that so called "tank monument" before, but I really don't know where exactly on the coast it is. But there is a hint. When you spawn, the letters will came up in the lower right corner telling you the spawn location like: Chernarus Kamyshovo Day 0 I hope that helps^^.
