And oh, I've soon donated €35 to dayzero, where all you get is a donator skin. You donate to get a reserved server slot, and supporting the mod. That's the way to do it, not mocking the gameplay by destroying the concept (everyone starting the same). Honestly I don't care about all these private joke servers, but it is hilarious to see how they are creating some sort of pay 2 win and then calling it DayZ. It's not like I'm playing on them and then complain about not finding another server or that people kill me unfairly. In one way it's not unfair, since you decide to play on such server where this is tolerated. Anyway it's very very fascinating to see how DayZ can be dragged down and humiliated to such level, and it still surprises me the success it has.

You think I'm interested in the gear you get, or that I would play on a server using this if I had money? Come on. I'm posting a general thread, pointing out that it's ridiculous seeing servers running DayZ mod are actually offering exclusive start gear if you are willing to pay. And even more interesting, seeing players playing on such server. If they can't pay for their hosting, they maybe shouldn't host, or they could offer something else than start gear.

I admit not knowing about the fact bmrf offers this as I thought they ran same concept as the official hive. I guess we both had our points then, but I think it's rather you who should have pointed out what servers you had in mind, and not me, since "DayZero" is zombies.nu and brmf in agreement with them to use their mod. I also do not know if the memberbase are generally american or european, If a big majority was americans it's probably more reasonable having american servers in mind when discussing, but like I said I don't know what.

Like I already pointed out in another thread, the official dayzero hosted by the developers on zombies.nu do not have donator perks. No matter what you pay, you won't even start with a pistol. Everyone starts with nothing. Believe me. I'm not here for fighting, I just hope this can give better insight of the fact DayZero is a fantastic mod and not pay 2 win. It's really poor bmrf are offering spawn loadouts. I'm probably the biggest hater of these sort of stuff. I hope they get boycotted, because this is not what Dayz is supposed to be about.

I actually don't care what american DayZero servers are offering. I'm playing the official dayzero, on the servers hosted by the original developers. www.zombies.nu And here you don't get any donator perks. There are no intentions to introduce it either. I've been playing there 3 months now, so leave your whining about dayzero and complain about the specific servers you are having in mind, instead. I'd never play had they offering donator perks like bmrf, so for everyone reading here, I still recommend DayZero, and it's not pay 2 win. Oh, and you don't spawn with any weapons either which you seem to believe.

Don't know what you get this from. You don't get anything in dayzero by donating other than a reserved slot, to join the server easier. Dayzero is a challenging mod close to vanilla, and no one spawns with more than someone else. If you donate the biggest package, you get another starting skin, which isn't even any better than a survival clothing. I donated for a limited time period, and I didn't even get this cloth. I had the exact same as someone who didn't donate for a reserved server slot. Just don't throw out lies about the best mod please.

Play Dayzero. By donating you only get another starting cloth (you donate to get a reserved server slot, not donation perks), which changes absolutely nothing, i.e electricfuneral is wrong. Dayz 1.8 if you want a worse version with more bugs, including a completely broken animal system :)

You don't want any pvp at all? 25-30 players and you won't get any serious action other than in the middle of elektro :P And I must disagree with the comparison with quake. You can run around north for so many hours without seeing other players, even on 40-50 player servers. This could either be seen as feedback or whining (up to you), but as a fan of the settings your server provide, I also like to combine pvp with it. Not only killing zombies. But anyway, if you would decide to make it /40, I'll join in and play here, if 30 remains, I'll leave it but wish you good luck!

Maybe the only server I'd consider playing out of the regular dayz servers. Great with all the bad stuff disabled and nothing funky added. The only other requirement for me to play regularly is to boost the player amount up to at least 40 (preferrably 50). 30 just is very low for this gigantic map. But I wish you best of luck, I hope more people than I appreciate this gameplay.

Getting punched by zombies all the time now as their range seems to be super powerful, and I keep losing all my blood after a while even when defending myself with the hatchet. So I'm ending up going for some hunting in order to recorder my blood level. However, I can't find a single animal scanning through dozens forests and large fields. No pigs, no cows, no sheeps. I only see a few rabbits once in a while that are impossible to kill when I'm shaking due to my low blood level. This is starting to get pretty boring. Oh, I saw a cow in the middle of the airport. But that was the only non rabbit animal I've seen for several hours searching. Anyone else having problem finding regular animals? Edit: I may also have seen a few dead animals just after 1.8 was released but couldn't get any gear option on them to pick up the meat. For those who are playing alone, animals just got to be working as they should, otherwise the game is unplayable, like it is for me now.

Not sure this is even possible but I have to ask anyway. Until they start to spawn animals again and whose you can get meat from, I'd like to bag myself if I'm low on blood and have access to a bloodbag.. So, are there any servers out there connected to the official servers, allowing self bloodbagging?

I gutted them first yes.

After scanning fields and forests mid-map for hours without finding a single animal, I went towards the NEAF only to see 7 animals in the same spot. And when you thought it couldn't be worse, I couldnt get the gear option on any of them. But I do get the Hide and study option. How hard can it be to create a working animal system? It was good half a year ago but now it's entirely awful. I hope for a quick fix because now it is not playable at all.
