I thought earlier today they said that the update will be coming NEXT week? Not that I'd complain, been holding off playing until the wipe/patch and am eager to try things.

Zeds are NOT zombies; just a small FYI
SaveMeJebus replied to barnabus's topic in New Player Discussion
As said before even the devs have referred to them as zombies many times ... get over it. -
BUT ..... don't freak out too badly, it will for sure get better performance wise as development continues and things are optimized further and the game will be so much better then content wise anyways I don't think your missing a ton by having to wait (although i do know it sux lol)
-
Pretty much because amd chips have bad single core performance and DayZ has not yet been optimized for multicore. Overclocking would probably help you out the most just be careful you know what your doing. Don't worry about your gpu thought its plenty powerful, most everyones bottleneck with dayz is the cpu. ** And just to clarify I'm not saying that AMD chips are bad, just saying that single core performance isn't the best.

ya

Ohhh somebody needs to photoshop a road runneresque cloud of dust behind the big guy running lmao. Hopefully tractors will be one of the added vehicles eventually.

Is your ping sometimes ok on dayz? Is it sometimes crap on arma 3 too? If it is, either someone is sucking up all your bandwidth or the network in your area is overloaded and getting bogged down. That or your playing on a wireless connection and running into interference. This is something to call your internet provider about, not sure what we on the forums can help with.

That panel on the right hand side of the main forum page that tells every tweet and such that goes out from the devs just isn't enough eh? Just don't see why curious people must be spoon fed information
-
Alot of helpful info in the dev blogs/twitter .. would do you good to read them every so often

Now? or once SA is finished? ... Right now the mod is definitely more feature complete and has a functional zombie/crafting/loot spawning system in place. In the end the standalone will have FAR more features and a much much better system for zombies and loot, but that is not the case right now as it is a work in progress. Not really fair to compare the 2 apples to apples as they are in way different points in development BUT I would have to say I have more fun in the mod right at the moment (especially since zombies have been temporarily removed in SA)

.56 patch coming anytime soon? Is this game progressing at an increasingly slower rate?
SaveMeJebus replied to Miquinei's topic in General Discussion
.57 patch will see zombies put back in, they are currently removed .... @ OP love how people exert the effort to make posts like this but can't be asked to look at a single dev blog at any point in time. -
Thinking of playing again... worth it ?
SaveMeJebus replied to [email protected]'s topic in New Player Discussion
^^^ This ... I'm just sticking to the mod at the moment, standalone has no zombies right now unless you play on experimental servers (well didn't last time I logged on) and there will be a wipe as Red_Ensign said once they do get things sorted. -
Ebrim goes foraging! (forage yield experiment 0.56 exp)

Just out of curiosity is there any way to figure out how much energy/hydration you burnt during those intervals? -
New Player - Hardcore makes me Motion Sick due to Head Bob even when slider is off
SaveMeJebus replied to Akiruu's topic in New Player Discussion
Unfortunately I think your out of luck, the headbob slider doesn't stop the slight motion they use to simulate your feet moving and I am pretty sure there is no way to make it totally smooth. I have a hard time thinking of ANY shooters nowadays that don't have at least a little wiggle in the camera when you move, not sure what it is about dayz and arma that make some people so motion sick. -
I just want to see the person with freakish arms long enough to shoot the thing :P

JSRS_1.5 does not work properly
SaveMeJebus replied to krohnus's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Do you need CBA for arma 2 jsrs? I know with arma 3 and epoch not fully working with cba in the past (something about extended event handlers) some sounds (such as inside gunshots) were missing. -
Wow what the heck kinda machines are you guys on? Can't say I've EVER had a crashing problem with arma 3. I snagged standalone for what it will be not what it is, I still stick to vanilla mod for now (especially after last patch, keep going guys!) but am definitely looking forward to dayz standalone being more complete.
-
I meant RPM. Not sure whats causing your issue though. Have you tried with shadowplay off just out of curiosity? I know I started keeping mine off when I don't need it for a small performance gain in some games.
-
DayZ is a CPU hungry beast at the moment, your gpu won't be the bottleneck. I am using the same gpu and frames are fine (the typical 60+ until I hit a city then mid 20s, but I'm pretty sure this is what most experience). Don't set things to low it will offload them from gpu to cpu and make things worse.

How much ram? seen this happen alot playing with 4 gig. Once that fills up and it starts with the swap file shuffling the stutters started. Otherwise if you have the ram you need, is your HD painfully slow or is it on an ssd?
-
I fully realize the current engine can't support it but once everything is fully migrated to new engine will this be possible or still no?
-
I hate DayZ but I love it so much...
SaveMeJebus replied to EpicTickles's topic in General Discussion
I know this will come off as rude but I can think of no other way to say it ... If you had paid any attention at all to dev blogs and the like during your 1000 hours of playtime you would know that A. there are seperate teams working on new content and performance/coding side B. the body collision issue is something that will be addressed as the new renderer is phased in C. animation issues also addressed with new renderer. I'm sorry to come off this way just everything you have taken the time to post here about has been beaten to death as a topic and answered repeatedly. ** and why would you think performance isn't on their mind at all? From what I have read others posting the new build on experimental does add some much needed fps and I'm sure this is something that is constantly worked on where viable but optimization at this point in development is a time waster -
If you are referring to the standalone version and not the mod, then the server files are not available.

Camo builing full of dupers with m4! Successful breach with few bullets
SaveMeJebus replied to Toperek1990 (DayZ)'s topic in Gallery
Very nice vid, I enjoy watching people with your playstyle and play the same myself. So many people are afraid to make contact with other groups but its amazing the kind of alliances that can be formed by doing so. (not that this was one lol)
