Hello everyone Back Story So my so called 'friend' sent me a file called blockcraft.exe through skype and (telling me it was a funny rip off of minecraft) i ran it but nothing came up(well a quick black window popped up for a few seconds but closed again) so i asked him what it was, after asking him this he deleted me off skype... I dont know this guy IRL just been playing with him for a couple of months. When i went on Dayz the next day(today) it came up with the message about being "Global ban". How did my key get ban as i was playing fine and legit the day before? Confused, i decided to try another server but still the same. I deleted the folders on Regedit to see if it helped and then verified the folders again on steam... I tried to load up arma, yet this time an error came up saying "Bad serial key given in set up". I did not know what to do so i repeated again what i did before with regedit but this time it said, Error while deleting key on regedit. I googled this and it said my key must of been stolen, i tried many things to see what i could do to fix it but... After hours of trying to fix the problem i decided to make another steam and rebuy the game. The actual question Firstly: I deleted all the files my friend sent me as well as reinstalling Arma 2 OA and deleting the directorys, so am i still under risk of getting my key stolen or even ban somehow? Lastly, Instead of changing account everytime i want to play Dayz is there somehow a way i can convert the key i am using on the new steam account (working fine) to my old steam account? Or not? (sorry its so long and confusing ): Sorry if this is the wrong section to post in btw
