  1. Perhaps you've heard of something called Playonlinux? It is a program designed to (mostly) painlessly install Windows games on Linux, it does it using wine, and works quite well. At this moment I have Neverwinter, Planetside 2, League of Legends, and World of Tanks (yeah all are f2p I know.) installed and working fine on my Linux (Ubuntu) machine. I would not be surprised to see the DayZ standalone working on Playonlinux once it's been released. (It might take a short amount of time for the POL guys to make adjustments so it'll install properly, I dunno.
