In Warz ammo is VERY rare, not because player shouldn't kill each other it's because the Devs. wan't $$$ because you can buy ammo for irl $$$. Anyway I believe you cannot stop the kill on sight thing in this game, it's like taking a short cut. If you just started and got like a cz 550 and see a well geared player at distance you shot him, saving you hours of work searching for the gear you've now got in 1 min. It's sad but true. There's no realistic way to stop the killing on sight, you don't lose anything on doing it, you get rewarded with a cool bandit skin. It's just not gonna work. And I think that's good, because that's what you would do IRL if a zomb apocalypse hit earth, you would never walk up to a unknown guy alone. Those guys die the first week that's it.

You change your name and when you know the guy is on the server tell him that you are new and want to meet up. Instead of going to the location you lay down in a bush far away but not so far that you can't see the meeting place. You then look around the area to find they guys camping place and then you shoot him.

Is it any face that's got camouflage face painting that you can access when your editing your profile? If not, I've seen guys on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAAlHdZ_qwI for an example, does that face camo work so that other players see it when they look at my face? Putin guy.

Just make a similar map that you can go over to true like a mountain passage or something like that. Include a couple of cities like elektro and cherno and some small villages. Also make some snowy mountain areas that are really cold and require special winter clothes to survive longer times in. I'm sure the Dayz devs. could make that interesting enough. Also add some features like having a dog, new weapons, vehicles (snow mobile?), building a house (make it not to hard to build a little crap steel hut, but harder the bigger the house would be so that the map not gonna be crowded with big houses) and other cool stuff

So how many times have you destroyed multiple magazines when taking the gun out and putting it back in your backpack? It's so what I dislike the most in this mod, just annoying things like that that the devs. (I don't know if it's up to the arma guys or the dayz dev.) don't fix. Anyway I got a suggestion for that, just add another item into the game, something like an ammo pack like a backpack but only for ammo. It would be an item that you would have to find, spawn rate approx. 5% at military spawns. It would remind a bit of the ammo crate that u can find at heli sites. I have figured out that you can have a maximum of 12 rifle/shotgun stacks in your inventory without destroying anything when moving ur wep from inv. to backpack, so the ammo backpack would offer another 10 slots for ammo, and you can still have another 12 mags in your inventory at the same time. This might sound like huge amounts of ammo but I think it would be an appreciated feature in the game.

yes but its so stupid, for an example if you have a dmr in ur BP and 10 mags also in ur BP, but only 5 inventory slots available. You decide to take out the DMR, you never click on the ammo just the DMR, the ammo will also be taken out in the inventory, now thats ok but the stupid thing is that it will only take out 5 mags, BUT it will delete the other 5 mags. just SO FKING STUPID. why even put a feature like that in the game..

And to make a serious post now, everything your either interested, new on or good on has always been fun for me. So if you for an example is interested in zombies and survival you would probably enjoy the original Dayz (and probably some of the mods), if you are new to the game you would probably think it would be fun to explore it (finding weapons and exploring the map) and if your good at Dayz you would probably think it would be fun to just play it because you enjoy being good. IDK if that's how it is for you but it's always been like that for me.

All the mods are made by players that have played the game for very long but still suck at the original dayz because they don't understand the game and are angry because they got owned by a 12 year old bandit with Winchester 1866 in elektro that later abused him over voice chat so they decided to make their own mod that they were the masters at. So when you join another dayz mod you will just feed the trolls when you die because then they feel good because they are not the worst player on earth Just kidding but I think what the topic starter says is true and we should all play the original Dayz, na just kidding all I want is to have my DMR for myself and have sex with it on the nights. Not kidding Go on guys give me your beans im waiting

I've under the recent days discovered that in one certain type of building you almost always find either ghillie suits or camo clothing. The last two days I've found 2 ghillie suits and 2 camo clothings in these red residential brick buildings. Not the orange residential brick buildings that got two rooms on either side (I hope you know what I mean). The one I mean is the red one's with a large half circle door that's got two enter able doors, a hallway and two rooms. It's worth to mention that I haven't entered a lot of these buildings, not over 10, I haven't server jumped or anything just walked in when I've passed by. Hope this helps you if you want some cool clothes.

Got a SVD camo, no ammo though. I was lucky and found a ammo box with 10 mags!

So I've been into the game for some time now, only been playing the simple common vanilla official dayz. But when I surf around on this forum and check the mod filter on the commander I see a jungle of different mods of Dayz. Two common names is this dayz origins and overwatch. Are these mods worth testing or is it smartest to just stick to the vanilla dayz? What are those mods? I'm just a ordinary lone wolf that like to survive in the wilderness.
