Is this a private hive?

I was in the north and had just looted the airfield. Then I hear a heli and see it crash in the woods. I searched it but nothing of value there. And after about 2 minutes another heli crashes, I was quite close to the crash so I got badly injured broken bone and serious bleeding. When I had fixed both of those stuff I vent to the crashed heli, but then I noticed a boat, the boat was bouncing and for each bounce it bounced higher, looked totally fuckd up. It must been some kind of distraction because after some seconds I got shot. And what just had began was over... Kealthkewks hegemony didn't last long but it had it's glory days.

I'm gonna go bandit style :D Just killed a guy that was friendly, I didn't have any real expectations on him but I ended up with a DMR and almost 60 rounds! Ooooh bandit life... :D

Okey everyone, I can assure you with everything that I own that this is not a joke. I was running against the airfield and was just outside Kabanino. The server was quite empty only 4 players so I though I was safe, but someone started shooting at me and I didn't see where the fire came from. I managed to hide in a bush but my leg is broken and I have seriously like 1 blood left. The situation is stable now, I'm not loosing blood but if I don't get some morphine soon I will die from either thirst or starvation. So if there's any kind soul out in the darkness near me, please, I cannot give you very much, I got some food, a mp5a5 with some magazines and a silenced makarov. I don't really expect someone to help me but if you would, I would be entirely thankful. I don't want my great journey to end here and now. Edit: I got 2 frag grenades that I could give as reward too.

Hello I recently got this game and have earlier been playing Warz. Before I always thought about buying this game but when I heard the stand alone was coming I thought I should wait so I bought Warz cheap on steam so I could get introduced to the zombie survival genre. I'd heard that it was a really crappy game so I didn't have any big expectations on it but I liked it, I really liked the idea of the genre, surviving you know. I got really hooked by it and played 150 hours in a little more than two weeks, the game was overall bad but totally playable in my opinion. So I though if I could get this much fun out of Warz, damn Dayz would be like one of the best games I've ever played. So I bought it, joined this forum a bit earlier and the community was very helpful and nice to me. Then I got it installed, it was quite an challenge to get it running on my own (you know I've always got my games installed quite easy) but I got it running. Then I was going to join a server, that was a bit harder, I had problems knowing which one was an original and which one that was a private. In the beginning I played on a server found like a gun and some food, then I had to log out and later when I joined a server I didn't have my recent stuff, it was really confusing for a new player. But I solved it by using commander after some googling. Then I got into the game, though it was hard, many servers kicked me for various reasons and some had this extremely crappy fps. And when I got into a good server I sometimes started running in the air like 2 meters up and then fell down and died, for no reason totally randomly. Hope the standalone will be better.

When you don't die from bugs or cheaters it's very fun, played for about 3 hours on one character today but died naturally. That was a good game.

Hello, I just installed all the arma 2 games but when I play Dayz I just get these low resolution clothes even though I got max settings. I have seen screenshots on the HD clothes and seen the difference. I have tried to run Dayz both from commander and steam but same problem on both, I don't get HD but I'm supposed to because I got the complete edition. I'm really thankful if someone could help me on this one please.

Hello I just bought the game and I'm installing it now. I got a question, I saw a guy that spawned on a server and when he spawned he had a revolver and a bat from start I think it was, if he then joins another server that you don't get a revolver and a bat on start does he still have that revolver and bat that he got on the previous server? If it's like this why doesn't people just join a server were you spawn with the best equipment and then joins another server and are über overpowered?

Hello. I got Arma 2 complete collection and have installed all of them but I don't get that high resolution clothes that someone posted earlier. I run Dayz from Dayz commander if that's worth mention. Edit: I have tried to max Dayz out with max graphics but still no HD clothes.

NVM got everything working now :D

Okey got the Dayz commander now but even if i push hide unofficial I still find a lot of private hive servers : /

Dayz commander, I do not know what that is but I think I'll download it.

Okey so I've been inside the game for like 10 minutes now, got it installed today. How do I see what servers that are the main hive ones? I could need a fast reply so I can jump into the game soon ;) If you know any good servers that are main hive you can PM them to me I would be really thankful :)

I considered buying it and bought it today :) I feel good about my choice.

If I see someone at distance and know that they haven't seen me I leave them alone. Otherwise I do what I must, if they shoot I shoot back otherwise no. I always keep my distance though.

Hey is it still worth to buy arma 2 for Dayz or should I wait for the alone Dayz game to be released? I saw that arma 2 was on discount on steam but I'm not sure to buy it if the alone game will be released soon.
