    It means that when they add things into the game, it breaks things and adds more bugs, they hadn't fixed the large bugs and optimized the particular build before streaming.

    But with an alpha release of 50 people and there being over 50 cities, towns, villages, farms etc. You're not going to run into many people unless they crowd around the Southern cities like many do in the mod.

    Well generally in BF there is objectives like destroying or capping points to progress or lower the enemies tickets. In DayZ the objective is not to die.

    I spent a year on and off trying to make the zombies work, experimenting with different scripts. In the end I came to the same conclusion you discuss here. In making individual zombies a threat, you actually make these very frustrating situations. The game becomes very black and white. But by making zombies "manageable", that means that generally with the zombies you are okay. But if you don't have a good plan - you get in deep trouble. That's what we are aiming for. -Rocket2guns He also said somewhere (but I can't find it) if you know where a few zombies are, it's manageable, but when you lose sight of some they can sneak up on you and do some damage.

    The zombies are infected humans that seem to exhibit dumbed down mental capacity. Perhaps in the lore of DayZ their hand eye coordination is kaput and they can't multi task. They can see you and hear you, but if you move while they've doing something, they're fucked. EDIT!: Hmm, since the axe works on a swing tracer, does that hypothetically mean you can bunk your mouse to max sensitivity and pop 360º swings and take out everything? Or am I just wishfully thinking? :3

    He wants to fix all the blatant big bugs, whilst he has time before the release. But once the Alpha is released that is when most of the little niggling bugs get found and reported.

    There will be lots of WEAPONS, but I think you are concerned with firearms, which I'm sure there will be a variety. Some include: AK47, M4, Mosin Nagant, Lee Enfield, Hunting shotgun, pistol, likely at least a rickety old sniper rifle. Probably more, but they've not been spoken of etc.

    I can see it now. People posted around the entrance with Mosin Nagants, Patting down patrons, removing their weapons, but keeping their food/ammunition with them. They can bet ammo on fighters, and if they win they get a payout. Losers go home empty handed.

  23. The original idea was never a DayZ without zombies. Dean joked saying he would release without zombies if needs be, showing his eagerness to get it out. But fucking idiots on this forum flipped their shit and cried like babies.
