Well you can press the mode button in the server browser to it will go Hardcore Servers, then Normal Servers. Or the other way round.

That would be too much work. There's 2+ million copies if DayZ on steam Even if 1% of the community logged 300 hours that would be 20,000 skins to be put in the game based on someones likenesses.

I've noticed that DayZ doesn't use anywhere near 100% of my GPU potential, often using just 30% of it. Quite annoying at times, but hey. I'm sure it'll get fixed.

Well darling, when you fire the 5 bullets in your Mosin, you have to go into your inventory and manually drag the ammo to the Mosin to load it as it does not have magazines you can swap out at the touch of the R button. It's over all a stupid idea because it's one of those 'realism getting in the way of fun' bullshit things. If you want an animation while you get your bag out, how about every 2 minutes of running your guy stops dead in his tracks. scratches his balls, pulls his underwear out his arse, takes his shoes off to massage his feet and then takes a piss behind the nearest tree.

Fuck that noise. The bag holds the most swag in so it's only logical people will hold things like ammo/medicine/ammoboxes in. I'll be fucked if you want me to - in the middle of a fire fight - stand still like a lemon while I take my bag off, rummage through it for 15 seconds to bandage/reload. 10/10 bad idea.

If you find no servers on the list restart steam and try again, if you join a server that fails to load your character it's most likely due to some packet loss on your/their end so just keep trying till you don't get shouted at by red text. -
I get shit FPS in the 3 sets of apartment complexes above Cherno/Balota. Drops to about 12 FPS then the desync hits harder.

Not regaining health when energized and hydrated?

When you regen blood you don't get a healing status, once you are full blood, energized and hydrated, you will start recovering health then you will get Healing text. At full blood and health you will get Healthy. -
2million people bought the game, With those numbers there will be more than enough people finding AKMs MP5Ks and nades.

Yeah. I've seen at least 20 servers where clans go on it, loot their dicks off and then run around on other servers, you want to join the server? Too bad. Get kicked on loading in a be faced with a penalty joining another server. Utterly defeats the purpose of the game and those people should be VAC banned for being massive vaginas. -
For the moment we don't have many ailments to be worried by. Frankly if you ever need antibiotics, charcoal tabs or painkillers then you're doing something wrong. When they add things like Cholera and Malaria I'm sure they'll put medical loot in hospitals.

Yeah, it's heavy desync. I was chasing someone in the NEAF before .46 and he was running from me, then he axed me whilst he was still running in the opposite direction. It will get fixed in time.

I play like a hermit on lower population servers because you know... I actually like finding loot that isn't rotten fruit. I generally do runs to Balota, then go northward to NWAF and drop in all military stops along the way. If I die at NWAF so be it, restart the run. If I survive I got to a higher population server to seek out a deathmatch with any strangers I come across. When loot eventually respawns I will go on high pop servers for more intense encounters and feelings in general.

Oh hey. It's an Alpha. You should treat EVERYTHING as being a placeholder or a WIP until the game fully released.

That stuff doesn't work trust me. I tried this 30 times a few days ago. Spawned at Berezino about 20 of those times, the rest were spattered in terrible places.

Hit detection is still absolutely abysmal.

The hit detection surely is annoying, no doubt. For instance yesterday. I shot a guy in the arm with my Mosin, he bled fine. However I went on to shoot him 4 times with my revolver with no doubt of the bullets hitting the guy. He ran off and he killed me when he was facing 180º away from me. This has to have been bad hit registration mixed with the bloke lagging. However you have to remember that it's an Alpha and most of the code and such is still being fleshed out, in time all will be improved. -
Before people jump on my dick I've had a look using the search function to a week back and have found fuck all. Yesterday I killed 2 Deer and skinned the cunts, when I tried to cook them I used a gas canister, stove attachment and a cooking pot. Watched the pot get hot, watched the meat get hot. The pot started to whistle and steam whilst boiling. The meat remained raw. Then after about 2 minutes of boiling sound/particles the meat disappears and reappears burned. No cooked status inbetween, I know this because I did it twice whilst watching the meat constantly. Is this just something that happens with the pot? Or should I just fuck off cooking meat for the mean time?

You can amp it up by buying a gaming PC. DayZ is a very intensive game at the moment with a lack of optimizations to performance and having a mac with a terrible Gfx card will only pile on the problems.

Hey all. Just wondering what's happened to the melee damages? Not been following the game for about a month as I've started a new job and not had the time required to survive the apocalypse. It's just that the melee damages seem to be VERY under-powered. For zombies certainly, not tested on players yet as I generally don't play like that. A month ago, I posted a thread on how I killed 4 people on my own and I had killed one of them with 2 swings from a fire axe. Obviously the fire axe used to 1-hit zombies with ease at all damage levels. However I went on today (for the first time in a month as previously stated) and was slapped in the face to find that a pristine Fire Axe took 5 swings to the body of a zombie before it died. (Presumably it will take 8-10 to kill a player). I also hopped onto my normal server character who had a damaged pipe-wrench and it took 20+ body hits with 2/3 knockout blows to kill a zombie. Quite frankly I've killed zombies faster using my fists. I'm just wondering if such a huge nerf was intended to make it harder to get by or if it was over nerfed and will be balanced shortly as it's quite hard to kill 4 zombies (who aggro from literally 100 meters away) with a weapon that require precise headshots to kill in less than 20 hits, when there's several blood thirsty creature trying to claw at you as you run figure 8's through them. I'm well aware it's an alpha and things will be buggy/break/will change at the drop of a pin. That's fine. I just lack information on the past month of the game and would like to get back into the loop a little.
