Its more than likely a bug.. I remember whenever I would go onto the second floor of the air control tower at NWAF I would fall through the floor and instantly die. Well I didn't know I fell through the floor at the time but thats what it ended up being. That situation is exactly like this one, walking around one second, the next "You are dead.". So I vote bug. Although it may have been just a unheard gunshot or bow. *slow clap*

Fair enough. Im not saying KoS shouldnt be a thing, but people should at least examine the situation before opening fire. For example if my squad sees another squad chances are they will try to kill us, so by all means take them out. But if we see a random player we would at least try to talk to him.
