I have yet to pick an apple from a tree in the three characters I have played on in the past four days. Each of my life's, I was energized, hydrated and healthy/healing. Food is scarce but it isn't rare enough to starve to death. At one point I actually had so much food that I had to drop some to make space for other stuff. One of my characters was KoSed by someone fully geared in Guglovo, one was beat to death from a zombie (the zombie was obviously Mike Tyson) and the other was also beat to death, from zombies that I didn't even see. (lag kill). So I don't see why people are complaining about it being hard to survive. Honestly, it's easy! (imho) You need to start checking small villages north. Most of them are unlooted and you can find enough to survive off of for at least a few hours if you check every house. EDIT: Don't forget to check the out houses! They spawn a lot of stuff. -
Server restarts are for more than just 'loot respawns'. Restarting a server keeps it from getting bogged up, clears up the virtual cache and all the other unneeded temporary files/info keeping the server running smooth otherwise after a day or so the server would basically be unplayable. (dependent on specific server because some may be better that others)

I agree, to a point. I would love to see them a bit weaker, then have about 10x as many as there are now. -
Well I can tell you first hand, I put down a civi tent at about 1pm EST. Came back online (same server obviously) around 5pm EST and it was gone. It would seem civi tents are fairly common, I find one every couple of hours. I wouldn't suggest hanging on to the one you have unless you absolutely have space for it.

I know, I know.. the big I understand button. yeah yeah yeah. I've been clicking it since the day DayZ SA was released. Still doesnt change the fact that they 'Force persistence' and say its 'working' when its blatantly not.

I've lost four tents in the past two days.. but its good to know now that its a waste of time to find them and put them down anyways. They really shouldnt call it 'Persistence' when there is really nothing persistent about it. Imho they just needed to word it differently. For example, 'Trying a new persistence method' or 'Testing loot persistence' with some kind of disclaimer saying that it isnt promised to work.

I am. One of the main reasons I quit playing (aside from having a shit PC) was that I could walk into a building and find almost everything I need to survive for a week within five minutes. Canned food is the 'Mountain Dew' of DayZ SA. lol Only mod players will understand -

Honestly, this patch makes me want to download DayZ SA again and play for the first time in 6 months. Before this, DayZ was TOO easy imo. -

Okay, so your main issue is with the farming and scavenging in this game? I don't think you realize that it is an open world, you arent FORCED to do anything. So stop your bitching, if you don't like some options that the game offers then don't use them its that simple. -

I would suggest contacting Kilch, he used to be a dev for the DayZ Mod and might have a few more tricks up his sleeve than I do. -

As mentioned above, DayZ Commander is outdated and no longer works. I would suggest downloading DayZ Launcher @ DayZLauncher.com and re-installing the mods there. If you still have issues dont hesitate to contact me via PM or reply on this thread. -

If you have played the mod and have been a part of a clan or group, some of you will know what a squad XML is from Arma. I'd like to see that be implemented into DayZ, it wouldn't be hard seeing as Bohemia is basically taking over development of the game. For those of you who are unfamiliar with squad XML's basically what they do and how they work is basically you fill out this, I'll use my Arma II Squad XML for example. <?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE squad SYSTEM "squad.dtd"><?xml-stylesheet href="squad.xsl?" type="text/xsl"?><squad nick="BK"> <name>Bambi Killers</name> <email>N/A</email> <web>N/A</web> <picture>BK.paa</picture> <title>BK</title> <member id="Player ID" nick="In-Game Name"> <name>N/A</name> <email>N/A</email> <icq>N/A</icq> <remark>N/A</remark> </member> Now what this does it will show in game your clan emblem (if you uploaded one), show all of the clan information and also some of the players information. It will also add a clan tag to the end of your name automatically, in my case it would be MadWookie [bK]. It also shows your clan emblem on some vehicles and on some clothing in Arma II. In order for any of this to work you would have to upload your squad XML file to a drop box or some other file sharing website, make sure that they are put into a public folder and then give your players the public link once you have filled out their section of the XML (their Player ID and their IGN exactly as it is in game). XML's are fairly simple so it wouldn't be too hard for people to start using them more commonly.
