Because it's a SURVIVAL game. NOT a grab a gun and kill everyone you see game. Food should be hard to find, and guns should be even harder to find, let alone ammo for them.

I was just making a post to thank them for communicating with us, yes it was sort of directed at Hicks for the resent activity on the forums but the majority of the dev team communicates with us, Hicks just does it a bit more often :P

So I've been working towards setting up a base for about 2 days now. Here is my progress. In the base, we have apple trees, a nearby creek, the house, plenty of animals around and its close to a basically everything. Tents & 1 Cargo V3S: 3 Reg V3S's 1 Cargo V3S: (I have a total of 5 V3S's, 3 reg, 2 cargo) Just some of my food:

What do you mean by 'startup parameters'? I right click DayZ in Steam>Properties>Launch Option There is nothing in the box that pops us. Is that what you were talking about or something else? I figured it was just hardware problems. -

I get this every once in a while, it's totally random, buildings go invisible, my FPS drops to like 1, zombies and my character model do this: I was actually standing in a small industrial shed when I took this screen shot. If anyone has any permanent fixes for this please let me know. The only fix I've found is a temporary fix by changing my rendering resolution. (sorry, I know its not directly related to this post but I'm too lazy to start a new topic) -
Any chance of DayZ moving away from reliance on Food and Drink?

So I was driving my newly acquired Cargo V3S and was driving past trees but this one I guess is half invisible... This shouldn't be happening. It clearly shows above that I wasn't in the 'Danger' Zone of a tree, I understand that I could have easily just went around it the other way but still.. that's ridiculous.

Well it kinda narrows it down that its a castle.. its either Zub, Rog or Devils Castle
