Damn, that was funny. Too bad he's banned cause from what I've seen he's a disrespectful dick :3 And this is actually pretty cool OP. Oh God... I can see it now... Bambies being tied up and run over with lawnmowers XD

Unless you got what I have I keep the title I do get a steady 15-20 FPS on medium to high on the newer patches. Im using this till I finish Basic and get my enistment bonus this summer http://www.walmart.com/ip/43310431?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=24&adid=22222222228032515464&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=64529976176&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=111308519336&veh=sem

Exactly, both hands on your firearm greatly increases your grip to prevent someone from disarming you. In a breach and clear scenario, going room to room and sweeping two hands steadies your aim and your able to hold it closer to your body to prevent a grab for your weapon. As an off note I realized that humanity is failing me. Some people at the hunting club got a Springfield XD45 and were about 40 feet away during at an old realtor sign that was dumped in the ditch they use as a target. It looked like someone shot it with birdshot all over after 2 people. I took it and emptied the mag into the 0 in the phone number, the zero was basically gone. But its the pistols fault -_-

[Suggestion?]Gun support, more advanced scopes and accounting for windage?
pale1776 replied to Garvar's topic in Suggestions
I like the green titled guy ;-; I hate games where attachments give unrealistic perks. A bipod when standing throws your aim off since its an extra half a pound to a pound on the end of your gun. A recoil compensator shouldn't increase accuracy somehow, just reduce the muzzle rise. And that 6 pounds of tacticool shit on a rifle is gonna hurt you more than it helps you -

Lol if you keep going on you should make another suggestion thread instead of hijacking this one :pWind and weapon damage is coming, but the waterlogging and safeties sound nice -

Well my babbling response is spot on my friend, I suppose your total spam comments that contributed nothing when you decided to attack me was sssoooooo creative to the thread. And yes it did pertain to it, the people who have said to keep the 100m increment zeroing have also posted in threads demanding 3pp be removed. It's that magic button that lets you find content by user ;) And if you were such a big shot on ballistics and realism then you would have been more focused on my constructive response, not starting a damn flame war. But 10/10 would get criticized for non construction by guy who contributed nothing again. -

You even read bro? I typed a bigass response as to why the realistic sighting of scopes should be added and you focus on the last paragraph.10/10 -
Exactly this. A rifle chambered in 5.56 can handle a .223 round since a 5.56 is a higher pressure cartridge and can handle the less powerful .223. While some say its not recommended, you can use 7.62x51 and .308 in the same weapon interchangeably since their both high powered cartridges. Just like a .38 special cartridge can be fired in a .357 but a .357 cant be fired in a .38 special. There's a few other cool rounds like that that can be substituted (that's why .357 is a great apocalypse round since you can use .357 and .38 so you double your available ammo.) But all in all I hope they do comb over the minor errors like that.

[Suggestion?]Gun support, more advanced scopes and accounting for windage?
pale1776 replied to Garvar's topic in Suggestions
Gews is right on. IRL I have a ballistics chart and range/wind formula. I've got it onto a blank business card and laminated it. It stays on the side of my stock in between the straps on my Allen cartridge holder. Am I "metagaming" real life shooting? I suppose my long range shooting is just a bigass piece of metagaming huh? Snipers use a dope book/range chart. Varmint hunters out west use them. And what's that thing about DayZ? THIS IS DAYZ, THIS IS YOUR STORY. So do tell me, why if its part of MY story I should be forbidden from writing down the ballistics chart just because of the cries of a few people. I wonder, how many of these people against it also cry for the removal of 3rd person. How many of them cry for the devs to stop adding new weapons and clothing because they deem it unnecessary? -
All these people just now learning bout the Groza thanks to BF4s update -_-

pale1776 replied to Garvar's topic in Suggestions
Well IRL I have a ballistics book that compiles all my personal shooting data as well as the ballistics chart. It's called a dope book, pretty much any formula or how to do X is written down in it. I use it for my competitive shooting, set to MY rifle and the ammunition I shoot (165 Grain Federal ammo with a Sierra Match King tip) Snipers use one for their rifle and knowledge. If you've ever looked at a box of ammunition, it shows bullet drop and velocity (well mine do anyway) at 100 yard increments. It's really not that hard to write this stuff down, I have most of it memorized as far as bullet drop and wind drift. I need a pen and paper for the Coriolis Effect but then again, I'm not shooting at 1600 meters lol. And even if aYou deem it useless, at least it will piss off some of these l33t sn1p3rs off and make it a bit harder to shoot. Oh, and try ACE for ArmA. It's definitely not something you can memorize, you sight your scope and then turn it X clicks for how far past your sighting range and (You never want to adjust for wind IRL, since it changes so much and your round still leaves the barrel straigh until tbe wind affects it, its better to just use a mildot/ know how far to hold technique. -
Your right, however that's one guy who has an ungodly finger (heh, lady Killer I bet) And the bolt rifle, ehhh. I'm in between on that due to the fact that I can shoot, work the bolt and reacquire my target in roughly a second. (The whole work bolt after you see the shot land is BS, by the time you even hear the shot from behind the rifle, its already landed on the target. Bullets velocity is faster than sound) But I can only work the bolt that fast and shoot that fast with it is because I've spent my whole life shooting. And even then I can only ACCURATELY fire two shots in roughly 3 seconds.

I didn't blame alpha, I blamed experimental. If you can't handle the fact that experimental is exclusively controlled, wiped and deleted by the devs then play stable. No need to be a prick when someone tries explaining what happened.
-
It's not .58s fault... You were playing on an experimental server. That gets updates periodically, minor updates and wipes. It's not .58s fault, its noones. Unless you blame experimental for being experimental, or yourself for getting attached to stuff on experimental. Also a question for the devs, will the experimental branch be destroyed upon full release?

Eh, my AR15 has a 4 pound trigger, my Remington 700 has a 2 1/2 pound trigger (adjustable to 6 ounces) and the Sig P226 I'm buying will be fitted with a custom 5 1/2 pound trigger. So basically all my guns (except for the bolt action 700) I can shoot as fast as I can pull the trigger. Somewhat accurately, roughly all of my shots land on the target 50 yards away when I pull the trigger to a cadence (180 beats/shot per minute). IRL its more of a knowing how your gun reacts each shot and learning how to counter recoil. I know you know this though :p But yeah, ingame there HAS to be a way to prevent mouse spam. Because even if I set my AR15s trigger to 6 ounces, there's NO WAY it can shoot as fast as I can click. Unless I buy a full auto sear :p

I like this new camera better You know what, lets just use the Metal Gear third person camera pov. Them the trolls will have a field day

Black Element was also the name of the ION PMC in A2 before it was changed.

Yep, you heard it hear first. I saw this video and heard the rumors, and today I make the long trek to the Northwest of the map to make or break the rumor. I don't care if the snow is so broken that it kills you after 10 minutes, send it to the stable update when it comes :p
-
Yeah. There's a great A2 version of Chernarus that's snowy- trees, shrubs, houses, everything is covered in snow. And it looks beautiful when ported to A3So technically the guy retextured BIs map, so if they were so inclined then they could hire/buy the map from him. If your curious just Google Chernarus Winter.

winter clothing = some snow areas in the future?
pale1776 replied to Bsur's topic in General Discussion
Well I'm sure that if the wanted to then BI could contact and work with the guy who retextured Chernarus to winter. Or its just up to the community itself to port it in. The video demonstrates the map and the download link (Armaholic download link) is in the description. https://youtu.be/g1_DsrdilUM -
Would SCAR seem suitable in the DayZ-environment?
pale1776 replied to Gunuziz's topic in Suggestions
Key word. Earlier That's like saying all cars are shit because the first cars had a wood frame and did under 20 mph lol. And point is the SCAR is dying because its a complete piece of shit. Nobody wants an 12 pound chunk of plastic that's twice as bulky as an M4 when you can havea 6-8 pound chunk of aircraft aluminum that is excellent for close quarters. -
Would SCAR seem suitable in the DayZ-environment?
pale1776 replied to Gunuziz's topic in Suggestions
You callin my America obscure? >:(Lol, yeah Gib here is right. While it's cool and all, its mostly used by SEALs- and even then noone likes it cause its nearly 8 pounds of plastic and is really bulky. Personally I'm waiting on my M1A or M14 :3 -
I like 1pp, I use it in cities and in combat. It's a trick O picked up in ArmA during city seiges. I can shoot accurately from the hip better than I can in 3pp, and its faster than aiming the sights while in 3pp. However, I use 3pp when I'm not expecting combat or are setting up my camp- which involves cooking. I like seeing myself to cure the boredom that comes from isolation. Personally I like the new 3pp better, I even made a suggestion thread several times about a camera perspective like The Last Of Us because I like that style of 3pp better. My suggestion is that 3pp is disabled when in combat. I play on a hardcore Mod server where when your in combat from an infected or player it locks youbto first person. As a side note, why do people complain about 3pp cheaters when they can simply join a 1pp only server? And why call it superior when there's like 20 people on all the 1pp servers put together? So you call 3pp cheating and say that 1pp is superior- but you continue to play on 3pp servers and complain that the "superior" 1pp servers are empty? Wut? Not directed at the OP, just at people in general. If 1pp was better than your precious 1pp servers would be full and you wouldn't constantly bitch about those terrible 3pp servers that you insist on playing on.

Why are people so insistent on forcing the game to be THEIR story instead of your story? Really, just because the apocalypse happens doesn't mean I lose my beard, tattoos, ability to hold a rifle and use cover (that's a different argument) or anything else that I had before the apocalypse. What's DayZs motto? This is DayZ, this is YOUR story. Well MY story doesn't involve my facial hair and tattoos disappearing with no explanation.
