When my dad was in Kosovo (you know, that former Soviet state?) They had an amnesty box for weapons from civvies. Among M1s, there was a Thompson with a 100 round drum mag, it was US issue and they traced it back to Normandy. God knows how it got there, but it got back to the US since it was still Army property.In Iraq, (Takistan was a middle eastern country based on the Middle East and is next to Chernarus, the post Soviet state) they found old M1 Garands, and a few M1 Carbines. After the M1 was replaced, they were given to pretty much anyone and they traveled far. Plus you know... theres the Black Market but its not like they sell and smuggle weapons with the fake Rolex`s... right?

Im lookin for a Vanilla DayZ Mod server without any addons, has active admins, and is fairly populated. I miss what DayZ used to be. I prefer a US hosted server. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I saw an earlier post about traveling to different maps, and I had an idea. Since the whole player database is stored in a central hive, what if (when new maps come in) instead of separating the playerbase throughout maos forever, the gear and data transfered maps. Basically, you travel to the Northwest and you find a highway (bad idea, I know but its an alpha idea :p) where you are met with something similiar to the main menu in the inventory pull up style. It offers the chance to travel to a snow area, you hit escape to stay and travel (the play button really) to swap to a snowy area (map) within the same shard/ hive so that your gear carries over, but its a new place (almost like hittin the play button on the mainscreen) On the South, there could be a dock (another alpha idea) where you can travel (server hop) to a tropical island, in the west is another highway to either A) the rest of Chernarus or B) skip that and go to Takistan. And in the East is another dock that lets you go to say, I dunno Taviana (alpha idea) I would prefer that you run to the borders to change instead of a single place where the socially deficient kids would camp to show their l33t scout sniper skills, but thats why YOU guys are here: To help modify the idea. If you dont mind, Im going to go roll in the beanz that SmashT gave one of my posts...

Its okay OP, they never heard of the war in Afghanistan where we commonly find gold AKs, nor dothey realize that GOLD PAINT exists, and only adds several ounces to the weight. Im sorry if this is innapropriate or uncalled for, but Iwas watching Frankie (sick day...) and he mentioned how the "original cool bandit skin" was removed (episode 5 I think) I got curious, googled it and found this thread. When I shoot at competitions, I go barehanded even in 20 degree weather.When I hunt, I cut the finger tips off of the trigger finger and thumb for more awareness of the trigger, adjusting the elevation/windage knobs, and flipping the safety easier (when I take my AR) Off topic, but the Oakley gloves I have are the only ones I use, thin palm that allows for more feeling, and its good for keeping warm/ grips better than cloth gloves

Or, have say 50-100 birds per restart, or maybe 2-3 per square kilometer

You know what, I sat my gun down just now, and he didnt sway. That little bugger ALWAYS sways when Im walking through the woods for 4 hours with my pack and rifle. I guess it just sways on purpose to mess me up... NOT Sway is caused by the movement of blood throughout your body, your breathing, your heartbeat and your natural unsteadiness, and fatigue. Now, DayZ is where you have all that, but now add dehydration, hunger, triple the fatigue and add adrenaline. I can control all that, as can snipers and competitive shooters (which I am [Competitive, not Sniper]) because WE TRAINED AND CONDITIONED OURSELVES FOR THIS. My longest shot was 1300 yards with a .308 Ruger American Rifle. I spent 3 minutes preparing for that shot. My longest with my Mosin? 600. Why? Its a WWI rifle made to do its job, nothing more. I can land shots on a man-sized target from the bed of my.pickup goin 20, but I shoot almost 50-100 rounds nearly every day. And in Shooter, he was a Sniper for Marine Force Recon. The DayZ guys are average Joes (until someone mentions PTSD since theyre not trained killers, then its ruining their RP immersion as a serial killer) who arent trained to control their breath, slow their heartbeat, and find the best shooting position. Your ideas focus.on bringing pvp even more (part of the game, but NOT what it was meant for) and making it eadier. All the little kids on here cry about how hard ALPHA is. So I dont think theyl be around gor full release.unless the mods you suggested haopen. So its best to let the codkiddies die out
