I see. :/ So, no way to fix it? Edit: I'm looking at all the other top servers (I sort them by players) and in the first 20 not a single server but two are over 80 ping. One is the server I'm trying to join with 420 ping and another is 200. :/ EDIT: I also see a UK server which has 600 ping and I don't have problems joining other UK servers.

I googled this already but there weren't really any that applied to me... so you would think the high ping would have a pattern. Maybe a mod, or if it has a lot of players its very laggy? Anyways, I always like joining servers that have lots of people on them and I found some server that was 82/90 but.. had a 380 ping. Now, there are also servers that are 0/50 where it says I have anywhere from 10,000-3,000 ping. I run the game on practically max graphics with no problem at all on other servers. So, what are ways I can lower my ping so I can join this server? EDIT: I use DayZ Commander so it says the ping before I even open the game and so I dunno how my ping could be so high without me even playing it.

Well.. uh.. maybe it may be shocking to know I've cleaned my computer once in.. dunno how many years. >.> <.< Guess I'll clean it.

Uh.. I play on a regular computer, not a laptop. Also, I got those figures only about 30-50 min in and continued to play for another additional hour or so.

Lol.. just checked my comp about an hour in.. every single one has a fire icon next to it except for one. Core 0: 74C Core 1: 69C Temp 2: 71C.. Rest are in 50's and small 60's.. but.. dang.

My computer automatically turns itself back on after shut down. and @Fraggle: I haven't been checking my temps but now with Speedfan up I'll check my temperature every 30 min or so with it so make sure nothing is overheating! Thanks for all the good feedback too!

Ah.. so.. either overheating or power supply? Could it also be dust becaue on the top my computer is pretty dusty. It's been pretty hot here the last two days aswell if that could be contributing.. should cooldown over today and tomorrow. And I recall having some sort of program that read the heat on my computer.. it might be the one linked by King Tubbs. ah, speedfan! I typed search in it on my computer and I do still have it. Does Speefan alert me when my computer is getting too hot? If it does next time my computer shuts off I can see if that is the issue. I don't have DayZ up and running, took a break about half an hour ago.. but two of my items have fire icons next to them.. that can't be good. And now one.. Temp2 is 56C. GPU: 50C Core 0: 49C Core 1: 51C I have four cores.. but it only lists two. Their temperature is jumping up and down constantly.

So, I haven't had this happen ever like this consistent with any other game... but.. my computer will randomly power off while I'm in the middle of the game. I cannot figure out why. It's not like it starts lagging.. the game is running smoothly... then it shuts off. Third time this has happened. :/ What could be causing it? If you need me to post computer information I can.

Alright! Seems to be working, thanks. ONE QUICK QUESTION THOUGH: This has been bugging me... people and their mics. Some are blasting music, or being general annoying.. kind of ruins the feeling for me. I shouldn't be able to hear them in this anyways since we're not close to each other! (realistic) How can I mute them? Edit: Without muting my sound.. I still want to be able to hear stuff.

Ok.. now I'm having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. But I bought mine from GamersGate, not Steam. I clicked the reinstall button on DayZ and let it install twice to see if that would fix my missing files. Now I always get the same missing file as you listed.. the authenticating server loading screen instantly loads to half way and then gets stuck there for usually around 3-5 minutes.. and then when it finally loaded I was "Pvt. Matthew Lillard" I think, had a vertical, thin white line going through the middle half of the screen and the only box on it was a disconnect box. And all my loading screens are usually black.

I'm having same problem.. but I had it since last night... and I don't use Steam! D: What should I do? And my DayZ is at 1.7.7.1
