Man you are like the SSD's salesman of the dayzmod forums. SSD wont do your general FPS any good, they only help against hiccups and hangups. The game is unoptimized as hell. Join 10 different servers, you will have 10 different average FPS'. Join the same server on 10 different days, you will have 10 different average FPS'. But its true that your system should do way better than 25 FPS. Probably a software issue.

Could you stop going into threads suggesting people they should get SSD's when they dont suffer from hiccups or hangups but from generally low fps ? It's no news. I got it too, Got a SSD. Doesn't do squat. Its the fact that you got a AMD Cpu. if you had an intel equivalent you would have 15-20 fps more. at the same amount of cores and ghz. In most other games that would make no difference. But arma 2 (and every other bohemia game in fact) is horribly unoptimized, and if you want it to run at least somewhat good, you need a decent intel cpu. if you want very good fps you need a very good intel cpu, like an i7. but again, dont blame AMD, in other games you can match intel equivalents. its the developers fault. they probably designed it on intel cpus and didnt give a damn about amd cpu's.

SSD won't to do shit for your average fps. It will get rid of hiccups and hangups, but if your fps is generally low you need to beef up your CPU, go for a i7. A weak CPU or any AMD CPU ( thanks to the worst kind of unoptimized engine ever and retarted coding ) won't cut it, ever. Same for Arma 3. You want to play a good game with high FPS, you are at the wrong address The only way to enjoy Arma games is to buy a heavy CPU that should not be needed in the first place. I got a Samsung SSD 830, thats a very good SSD. Got myself a SATA 3 board to get the most out of it. 8 gigs of DDR3, a AMD Phenom X6 1100 ( thats 6 cores at 3,3ghz) and a ATI HD 6950 2GB. And the game runs horrible.

The L85 was so not overpowered. We had 2, 2! And we kept them in our stash. They are good for scouting, but thats it. Love my M4 CCO SD much more.

Yeah I'm sorry, but thats not how it works. Rocket meant singeplayer version of the game where they can test their scripts and whatnot. Most of the "alternate-hive" servers have battleye running too. So you will still be banned for the obvious hacks. Also admins dont have superpower in this game. They cant do shit but restart/kick/ban and, sadly, change the time.

yeah im sorry, but i disagree, 30/60 seconds is too goddamn long, make it 5/10. Enough to kill someone that just logged out to pvp disconnect since he is not moving you shouldnt have any problems killing that person. But why do you even want to kill people ? Maybe pvp disconnect is a good thing, maybe at some point it will be so bad that people wont bother fighting anymore but run away from each other. i mean there still will be bandits.. but you know, just run away ;D

funny, i saw some of you guys coming online yesterday evening, either some of you were never banned or you got new accounts. either way, i was at my base ( which is a few miles off the map and no ones has ever been there since i built it, which must have been 10 days ) and then i logged off today one of my cars is missing and so are a few items which is funny, i played half the day on the server, probably 5+ hours, running back and forth to my base to sort stuff, get items etc., and i havent even seen anyone come close i get that hording vehicles off-map is frowned upon, but you guys still suck because you are goddamn hackers. maybe not everyone of your "clan" is, maybe some dont know what the others are up to, but there is no questioning that some of you hack.

actually i never managed to even damage tractors, even with an anti material rifle.

I wonder why there are no trading forums here yet. I imagine alot of bandits/scammers would use them to lure people to spots to kill them and loot them but well, dying is always near in Dayz so it doesnt really matter to me. If anyone has a DMR or a M4A1 Camo SD for trade I'm sure i can make a good offer + replacement weapon. I do have every tool available,my pair of night vision googles that i would part with, a m9 sd with ammo and i also have an extra ghillie suit. PM me if interested.

there still is weapons with integrated NVG/Thermal, what about that ? the FN FAL has 400 meter range with 7.62x51mm ammunition, i can snipe with that. DMR has 300 meter range, but mildots ofc. but the dmr doesnt one-shot.

im sure the dev team knows about this. the server used, at somepoint, a straight backup from the official hive, had my weapons etc from 3 weeks ago or so. cant get to that data without the devs knowing. still running around on that server with some of that equip. really love the server because of the higher probability of finding a vehicle. but it sucks that he basically locked the time, its always 12am or 1pm. nighttime is fun too

no. its disaster so far. had 10 times more fun round about 12 hours ago, with higher fps, no shitty lag and freezes and no relog-teleports and whatnot glitches. that being on the same server.

actually i found night to be most fun time so far and i dont even have NVGs nor do i play alone take a chemlight and carry it, it has a maximum visibility toward other players of like 5-10 meters and you can still see enough. i mean its a zombie apocalypse for crying out loud, there is already enough of a peaceful unfrightening atmosphere the whole day because of the bright days and the beautiful landscapes. srsly, deal with it and learn2chemlight.

Dayz in a nutshell. U play it "the supposed" way for a while and then you automatically switch to hunting people for sport. There is only 2 alternatives, you try to play with people and die eventually making you loose interest in the game or you try to hide from people basically doing nothing the whole day, hardcore RP. That most likely end in the person loosing interest in the game aswell. Everyone who is like " no its so much fun just surviving and stuff" hasnt played the game enough yet. You'll get there.

Rocket, with all due respect, this is silly. From what i heard people are getting global bans for picking up hacked weapons too. Even if they didn't spawn them. So is it mandatory now to know the wiki's and forums by heart because if you do something wrong ingame, like something simple as picking up an item (which btw. is something the game is centered around) you get banned ? It is only fair to be able to appeal for such bans as its not the players fault to get banned for something like that, its your fault because you both let it happen and don't educate the people intuitively but simply expect the knowledge. Someone could have just bought the game, logged in, spawned somewhere where a hacker spawned a chest, picked up some of the weapons because.. well because why not ? A day later he/she is banned, can't appeal the ban and doesn't get the 25$ for the game back either. Not even knowing why because that person didn't do anything wrong. That is not fair.

It's an arma 2 specific function for the single-player portion, makes the time go faster.
