Evutude (DayZ)

Found out why it wasn't working. I'm an idiot. I had reinstalled OA last night and I usually run it by going to wherever the file is. I ran it through steam and I forgot it had to install BE. I only thought of it based off what you said!

Okay, so recently I saw that my hard drive was getting fuller without me doing anything. About a GB gone in the course of 20 minutes and it was doing this continually. I scanned my computer and somehow a trojan managed to slip through. I go to play DayZ and it says "Bad Serial Number Given in Setup". I go and check my registry and the key is not there. I change the permissions and everything and it is still not showing up. I've heard that others have had their key stolen/deleted whatever you want to say, could that have perhaps happened in this situation? I checked Steam and it shows I have a key. I have no idea how to put that key back into the registry due to the format that you have to type it in. Edit: Forgot to mention that the trojan is gone.

It asked if I wanted to let my firewall make exceptions. I accepted. Would you say overwatch is better?

I have done this multiple times. About 12 actually. Random comment, you're signature is creepy.

I have the Breaking Point launcher and when I go to Install/Update it says Breaking Point is not found. When I click Install/Update for Breaking Point it verifies it instead of installing it because when I checked I have the @BreakingPoint folder in my ArmA 2 OA folder. When I try entering any servers using the launcher or DayZ Commander though it goes into the server for about a second and then boots me out to the menu. Any ideas of what's wrong?

I am trying to update ArmA 2 from 1.06 to 1.11 but I can not get it to work. Whenever I try I get the error 'ArmA 2 is not installed or is corrupted' or something along the lines of that. I have tried reinstalling with no different results.

ArmA 2 (Not Operation Arrowhead the orginial) I have 1.06.something. I'm fairly sure it should be 1.11. Haven't looked into it much to see. Someone told me there was a newer version for the orignial ArmA 2. Okay I think if I just update it will be fine, but I can only find updates for 1.05 to 1.11. I can not find one for 1.06 to 1.11

I've tried 30+ servers though. How can I not have the same version as one of them. As well as using commander that filters out all of the servers that dont have the same version.

Okay so there is one server I can play and that is all. Whenever I try to access any other servers via DayZ commander or in game server list, I have a in game pop up saying the files (ArmA 2 Addon files (not OA)) are not signed by a key accepted to this server. I've done everything in the book. There is no problem with my CD key either for those of you that suggest that is the solution to everything... Edit: What is the latest ArmA 2 version?

Yes, I have. That's how I did it from the start. Re-installed everything, verified the games in steam, ran them, installed DayZ Commander & now when I try to install DayZ from DayZ Commander I get the error from DayZ Commander. When I hover over the small red error symbol it has a large list. EDIT: Okay, I have DayZ downloading from DayZ Commander at this moment.

Would this help fix the CD key error. Sorry that's probably a stupid question but I've been trying to get the game to work for a while. At this rate the standalone will be out before I can play.

Look at what duck face says...Didn't think it would work. I knew I could just reinstall it so no problem.

Fixed. But I'm back to the same error. Steam did fail to verify one file though :/

Done but I went to where the folder for DayZ was and it wasn't in the correct area so I moved it into the OA folder aaaand now DayZComamnder isn't registering that it exists.
