Can we please get a highlight for this? With this post, RN_Max addressed every problem I and many more have with the new patch in a reasonable, logical and descriptive way. I think it deserves more than being halfway down through a comment section.

So, with the 1.7.7 update, the loot table was changed, daily in DayZ, as I walk into towns and check houses, the only items I find are usually empty tin cans and bottles of whisky. The problem here is that with rarer spawns, loot is going to be snatched the moment the server restarts, making it harder and harder the further away from the restart you get. As I see it now, the most useful items in the game now are: Hatchet, hunting knife and box of matches, but finding these takes much longer time than it should, and many times I don't find them at all. I believe more frequent server resets will fix the problem, as the houses wont be lying there for long times without any loot in them. The simple items that should be common to find are really hard to find because of the long time between every reset.

Very valid point, hadn't given that any thought. rarity of tin cans reduced would also be a good adition to the fix.

The official servers are run by rules set by the DayZ team.

Tho you make helpfull points, I see some faults with what you are saying. I've been trying out the tactics and ways to go around today, and still, it's too hard, there's no way to kill a feral with one headshot and moving around while trying to shoot the feral is harder. As I go through the towns I spawn close to, there is absolutely no loot... I believe this can all be fixedx with more frequent server resets, the most important items for me in DayZ now are: Hatchet, box of matches, and hunting knife, but finding these takes way longer time than it should.
