Herro guys! Just checked the dev section again and saw some aweeeesome changelogs! But, there is no date written when and in what version they release them :( So I was wondering if anyone knows when the update will come. I also would like to discuss what you guys think about the DayZ Mod. Apparently im scared theyll stop updating the mod at the point that SA comes out. Maybe the SA will be unplayable in the beginning because of bugs, gameplay or hackers f.e....just saying^^ Im really happy they make the SA and I cant wait for it, but I also had really great times with the mod. I would say G17. It loads many mags of ammo and is accurate and not too loud. The PDW loads many mags as well, but its inaccurate and louder and has a stupid iron sight. Although Id like to see more hand guns in the game. maybe different revolvers, magnums etc. .375 or .45. some .22 would be great and some old soviet weapons would be great. maybe some WW2 stuff -

I found this in the changelog section. Why is there markarov ammo highlighted for the glock? Why is there a scope on the rifle that the character is holding, eventhough there is a AK-74 in the menu. And at last, what building is this in the background?! -

Actually a very nice idea. Not sure if the server or the engine can safe video material....and i really dont want to ruin the lone wolf game style.

Herro ferrow survivors! I saw all the dev blogs and all the other videos about the standalone and I never saw new roads. Maybe I missed a part where they show one... For example Vybor...they added new buildings and removed many, but the normal road system was the same...just new textures for the roads. Anyone got some information? Hail Bratwurst!

Hello guys! Simple quick question: Will we get a working, simple tool for map editing, such as an SDK? What im talking about is an easy tool that allows the user to make a map by simply using terrain tools etc.

First of all, I dont know where I got the name "Quobble" from. Friends in school used the word "Chwobble" for everything..."that teacher is a chwobble"...etc. maybe it comes from there^^ i also noticed around 2 years after i first used the name Quobble that the urban dictionary has something for me: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=quobble

Hello my fellow Survivors! While playing on some common DayZ Chernarus servers I thought about some things. One of those things was the environment that we have in Arma 2 or DayZ at the moment. The "only" dangers in DayZ are: -> Zombies -> Players -> Hunger, thirst, bleedings etc. -> Dangerous objects that might break your bones -> NPC`s [only sometimes on a few mods and servers] IMO an enhancement of the environmental dangers is really needed in DayZ, to make the player feel more depressed and attacked by his or her surroundings. Already in ACE mod for Arma 2 you can see stuff like tear gas etc. If its possible to wear gas masks in Arma 2, it should be possible to have that in DayZ as well. My idea is: Gas, radiation or spores in the air, that can kill, hurt or infect the player in certain ways. Gas: Rarely appearing in old civil industrial plants and military areas. Symptoms without safety measures: If the players doesnt wear a mask or any similar covering he will start having a blurry view, followed by a loss of walking speed. Running is not 100% able so the player might lose his orientation. Is the player exposed to the gas for too long, he will fall unconscious for a specific time until he dies. Radiation: Appears in old industrial areas like powerplants and military areas, so areas that contain good loot or rare items at all. Symptoms without saftey measures: Without a mask the player will die in a few minutes. If he makes it out of the radiated area without dieing he will be effected by a high level bleeding, causing him to lose control of several body functions. [running, aiming etc] His clothings will be radiated by dust etc. so he also needs to change them or he will keep being effected by the rest radiation. Spores: During the zombie apocalypse many buildings have been left alone for a few years. People left doors and windows open, allowing wild mushrooms and their spores to inhabit rooms and walls. If the mushroom wants to spread, he inserts his spores into the air, causing the person who inhales them to cough, puke and after a while to fall to the ground. Mask and towels infront of the face can stop the spores from entering the lungs. Spores are not deadly, but can cause longtime unconsciousness if safety measures arent started asap.
