RIP GB Wireworld Vanilla DayZ Server - It was a lot of fun!

Just logged back in and its taken me 8 rests to free myself of infection, I log out again and then back in to find it's returned, 2 rests later its gone, log in and out again and it's returned yet again, 20 rests this time to cure (18 mins of continuous resting). I did log in and out again and I am infected. I suppose this only buys you enough time to continue a search for antibiotics. Niten. -

More findings regarding the "rest at tent infection cure". I have started up today only to find myself infected again (bugger!), if today is anything to go by then it seems that the "resting at tent cure for infection", is only temporary. Today I have had to cut a long range patrol short just to get back to my tent in order to sort myself out, luckily I had decent blood levels and meat to get me back without too many adverse effects. Looks like I'm off to the city for antibiotics! Niten -

Got infected again today, I strayed too close while sprinting past a Zombie, got knocked over and infected in the same strike. I ran straight back to my camp eating lots of steaks along the way to keep the old blood levels up. At camp I found that only 1 out of 3 tents would allow me to rest, I think that this may down to where they are placed but, they are all out in the open and not inside trees or rocks or anything like that, anyway I rested about 10 times and after a server restart I rested another 17 or so times before my characters infection was no longer. Good job really as I used my last antibiotic a few days ago. I like this change, it works well and it means that infection (without meds) no longer means certain death, just as long as you have a tent. Niten -

Hi Guys. Been playing on this server since May, thought I'd actually join the forums and give the game and the server some positive acknowledgement. Definitely loving the new (all be it testing) updates, I'm in agreement that the airstrikes, care packages and dynamic helicopter crashes are great additions to the game. The Z's currently at the top of their game, its not just the case of running round a tree a few times just to get rid, I had one spot me while I was prone at about 20m yesterday and had a two mile run just to get shot him, although this makes life harder for all of us, I welcome the realism that this brings to the game, I think before, I was guilty of previously disregarding the Zombies of some secondary threat, this is no longer the case. While the emptying of the backpack does not go along with the realism that I'm after, an empty backpack is preferable to having the impossibility of infinite ammo, so I'm in agreement with this. Loot is harder to find than previous but , this makes me appreciate the smaller things in life such as a coke or a decent sized backpack. The new update to remove parts from vehicles sounds good, I can see players returning to their vehicles and finding it resting on bricks, I predict some mischief may be afoot. I generally find that the servers current players are a bit more friendly than previous ones, but the memory of past and bitter experiences have tainted my trust in humanity, I'm friendly but well wary. Trying to convert some guys at work to get them off their Play Stations and away from COD, its hard going but I reckon I've sparked a bit of interest. Overall, my experience of this game is that is bloody brilliant so its a 5 star from me, I just need my Mrs and my job to give me a break so that I can play full time. Niten..
