    Okay guys, thanks for the help and input. I just got into my very first server :) Hopefully I find out how to play this game soon enough.. Thanks for the help :)

    And also, just something else to get off my sleeve When I try to play the singleplayer mod, I get the error "you cannot play/edit this file due to downloadable content..." or something like that, then a bunch of file names and then directories. But the most common and annoying error is the one that says "Bad version," while meanwhile in the title of the server or at the bottom it shows my current version (1.7.7)

    I'm not even being mean to him... I'm responding to him as anyone would... @SmashT ArmA opens when I join a server, but every time I just get one of the damn errors. I don't know how to approach this at all, and also, I DID just buy the game five hours ago, so maybe I'm missing something. @Applejaxc Hahaha... and how do I update my OA beta? Is that in the DayZCommander? And what is the beta patch?

    And also, when I join some servers, the ping shoots up to 10,000... Wtf?

    Nope. Nothing. That last part is the only part I didn't do, and this was my filter: -DayZ Only -Hide wrong mod version -Hide wrong ArmA 2 version -Hide empty -Hide full

    Before anyone asks, I'd also like to state I'm running DayZ 1.7.7

    I just got the game about five hours ago now. I can't get into ANY servers because of the following. - "Bad version" - "C:\blah\blah\blah will not let you play with these keys so do something" - Gets stuck on server's loading screen where they have their poster and the loading bar at the bottom just stops - CONSTANTLY NOT RESPONDING. I have DayZCommander. Does nothing for me. I have ArmA 2, OA, and OA beta, and obviously DayZ. Specs will not matter in this because every other game on my computer works perfectly fine - even ArmA 2. My download speed is 50+ MB/s. I know it sounds kind of harsh, but newbies like me shouldn't have to deal with all of this to play.

    I run solo. How can I play solo? Is the solution to simply just create a "New" server, or something else?
