    No, wild spawning zeds are just bad. Broken in every way. Make zombies tougher if it still isn't challenging enough. But wild spawning zeds are just awful.

    Infection rate is fine, they just need to up the amount of antibiotics, which are almost impossible to find at the moment. Or introduce other ways to deal with infection.

    Why isn't just an option being built in so people can mute it? Taking it away just needlessly screws over the people who like it, while it could just be disabled on a player/server basis.

    You still spawn without a backpack and you still get infected regularly in 1.7.7.1.
  10. If you're really desperate for food or drink, try killing some zombies, they tend to hold a lot of the stuff.

    He's lost most of his health, is bleeding, and it's a miracle he wasn't infected. "Useless", uhu. There's apparantly a bug with zombies hitting, but what do you expect? Instant kill on every hit? Are you playing on a server with lots of others and are you looking in the cities? Try going elsewhere.
  13. Oh, no problem really. I was playing on some german server yesterday that had most of the necessities. The only thing I didn't find was canned food, except on zombies who have a pretty high chance of holding the stuff. Nothing problematic in that area really, but maybe something can be increased in the future so people are less dependant on finding knives/matches or having to kill tons of zombies. But that's just my experience, might have been bad luck. Loot is just not as ridiculous anymore, especially the higher grade stuff, as it used to be before 1.7.7. Which is a good thing.

    The only thing that seems to be lacking to me is the amount of food on the ground. I'm coming across plenty enough of all the other stuff. I was playing on a low populated server though.

    Zombies can't hit from 10m away anymore, and infection is less common. Just don't let the infected zombies hit you and you'll be fine. Yes.
  17. The wild spawns were just annoying though. I don't really see the benefit of them. Confining zombies to the vicinity of buildings seemed to be working out pretty well imo. A lot of the added difficulty from 1.7.7 is still in there (less loot, infection with no cure, knockdowns, infected zeds), it's just that the damage is a little borked, and the bullshit line of sight and hitting from ten feet issues got taken out.

No, they can make zombies hard (high damage, harder to kill, infection, bloodloss, broken bones), but then they have to compensate elsewhere by giving you means to sneak around them/losing them after they are aggroed/heal things like infection, bloodloss and broken bones. I think this patch is ok in regards to aggro and trying to lose zombies, which 1.7.7 wasn't. And the infection rate is still high enough (although perhaps a little less ridiculous than in 1.7.7) but it's still very hard to cure (so still needs work). There does seems to be some buggy behaviour in zombies not hitting you properly. But besides that, it's an improvement on 1.7.7.

    I got infected a couple of times yesterday (mostly by infected zombies) so to me the rate seems about right. Now all we need is something to actually heal ourselves afterwards.

    No, they're not. They still run faster than in 1.7.6.1 right? Zombies are pretty to close to where they should be right now in regards to aggroing and being able to lose them. It takes a little effort, yet it's not impossible or incredibly tedious as in 1.7.7. I got infected about three times yesterday so it's not that infection rate is too low.
  23. It's a lot better in 1.7.7.1, try it out. They still run as fast as you, but now you can properly lose them through trees, hills, and buildings.

    People had some valid complaints though, but there's already a hotfix that fixed a lot of the problems and made it playable again in my opinion.

    With regards to loot I'm finding tons of ammo (.45 ACP, Makarov, 2Rnd. Pellet, 2Rnd. Slug), the occasional hatchet, chemlights and flares, the occasional rifle (AKM, CZ 550, double-barreled shotgun, Winchester 1866), backpacks, painkillers and heatpacks, tools (binoculars, hunting knife, flashlight, map, watch, compass, matches) and a crowbar I couldn't pick up. What I'm not finding is food, drinks, and waterbottles except off zombies. I've found only one pistol, only a couple bandages, and no antibiotics.
