fixed it, just reset filters

Hey everyone, I really don't know how it works, but I've had some trouble aiming in DayZ. I play tons of FPS games and have pretty good aim in most games, but can't seem to figure it out in DayZ, granted I've only had it for a week now. It always seems there is a delay between when I fire, and when the person actually gets hit. Also do you have to aim infront of your target a bit? I ask because I was crouched on a road, and was trying to shoot someone on a motorcycle. I had a Ak-47 Kobra with a reflex sight. I put the sight directly on him and emptied an entire clip, and he only died in the last few shots. Is there some sort of guide on how to aim in DayZ?

Alright whenever I join a game, battleye gives me this thing saying: You have been kicked battleye restriction#0. or something like that. People told me to re-install battleye using steam, right clicking on Arma 2. However that option doesn't show up. Is there an idiot proof way to re-install battleye? I can't join 90% of servers

haha played some more DayZ and tried to be a good guy. Some dude was shooting at me from behind. I yelled friendly and ran away. He then chased me into the fire hall. He was clearly an idiot since he saw I had an Ak-47 Kobra and he had a pistol. I just camped at the stairs and when I saw him just unloaded. Second time I was running into the fire hall after dying to zombies and some dude was shooting at me with a pistol. Yelled friendly again but he chased me. Luckily for me there was an M4 on one of the levels so I just camped and waited for him to come up. I really would like to be "friendly" towards other players, but it seems like others would like to kill on sight rather than be friendly

Alright so I've already asked, but I don't know how to reinstall battleye. Everyone keeps saying go on steam, and right click on arma 2 and the option should be there, but it isn't. So does anyone know an idiot proof way to reinstall it? Thanks

I have the same thing, but it says battleye restriction#0 or something.

I keep getting this message: You have been kicked from the server. battleye: setpos restriction#0 when I join certain servers. Is it possible to reinstall battleye? Because this is getting really annoying

Hmm... I'm not seeing it. I went to games list and right clicked and that option is not there

I get the loading screens, but get kicked out before I go in. Also I went into another server, but got kicked out midway because of another restriction... Also saw tons of players being kicked for weird restrictions

As I'm reading this I just killed another person, another guy tried to ambush me with a pistol, but I killed him. Thank god his aim was atrocious, he shot probably 15 rounds and none hit me I agree with people too. I wish I didn't have to kill people, and could just work together since it would be more fun. Since I don't have friends who play, it would be nice to play with others without having to watch my back all the time

Hey everyone, I join high player count servers all the time. Like 40+, however I've been playing for a week and haven't run into a single person yet. Is this normal? I know the map is huge, but do you have to plan to meet up with people if you actually want to see someone in the game? Also I can't access the map. I press M and a screen pops up but it's blank (nothing there). Anyone know why? Thanks

Alright, so if I'm in a "bad spawn" with no map how do I find a good spawn like Elektro? The place is huge, I have no idea how I would possibly run there without dying of thirst.

Ah that explains it. When I spawn, I run to the nearest town. But there is usually only 1 or 0 buildings that I can even walk in. I just scavenge what I can, usually bullets and some random stuff like chemlights. Am I doing it wrong? Is there some place I should be going? If so, how can I find it without a map?

Alright, so I bought the Arma 2 games just for the DayZ mod, was super excited to play until I found out more than half the time I try to join a server, it won't let me join, or it just takes forever to join 5+ minutes so I just have to exit. I've had the game for about half a week now and have only been in 2-3 servers, and in one game it disconnected. Anyone have these problems or know how to fix it? It's not my computer or internet since it runs just about any other game fine. Really regretting spending money on this now since I have to try for 30-60 minutes to even join a game.

K I installed commander. I went to the updates thing and it the first thing it said was my DayZ 1.7.7 was corrupt so I repaired it and reinstalled. But the other things, like DayZ Civillian... Do I have to install?

What is the commander? I bought Arma 2 and the xpansion on Steam. From steam I load the beta and go from there.
