If only they had listened. Actually my friend was just about to "F this game!" last night. This morning he logged in with a cooler head, respawned, and used what he learned last night to make his visit to Chernarus+ a lot more enjoyable.

Good for you. I like that you are going to weigh the options first instead of just jumping in and hating it.

You need to go watch the streams from a few weeks ago. Bugs they had encountered and wanted to solve so they could release. Moving things in the inventory and having them vanish because the server FPS was far too low, as well as dying for no apparent reason because you were desynced same cause. Logging into the game and finding a doppleganger of yourself standing in front of you. Both evatars responded to button presses but in opposite ways and you were not in control of the one that had your inventory although you could kill yourself and it would take affect. Imagine if it happened on a roof and you walked your double off the roof? There are still tons of bugs but they hammered some very major ones out before they released you just don't realize how BAD it was. Even so people were playing the version before the alpha release and enjoying the game. I am plying with the bugs and enjoying the game. If you did not want to deal with this leve of bugs then you should have not bought the game. If you were not sure what it was going to be like you should have waited until you could look around and find out. You. You. You could have prevented your dissapointment and the Devs did everything they could to tell you to not buy the game if you weren't sure short of slapping you in the face and saying, "Do you still want to buy the game?"

Unfortunately the ignorance is what is causing your disappointment. You did not educate yourself on what the state of the Alpha would be or what you were buying into when you spent that $30. Because of that you did not get the experience you wanted but you got the one you should have expected, if you had checked things out.

Search is your friend. However, You no longer boil water there are purification tablets to help with that. You can refill water bottles at pumps and the "drink" at them was broken and will be fixed shortly. Welcome to the forum.

You were also told several times in buying and playing the Alpha that there would be things that are broken and that you would not like. In addition those things you mentioned, there was a stream just last week that encountered all of those and Rocket stated, "This is something we have to fix but it won't be holding up the Alpha." So if you had bothered to check before buying a ticket to the hypetrain.... you would have maybe slowed down and not bought into it... yet.

Solution... Don't play. If you want a source for this check out the developer of the game who stated that right now there would be huge issues and things you won't like so don't buy it and play it yet. I too want to see the light of day but I will deal with it.

Actually, you have no "Right to Free Speech". Private forum and they can censor it in any manner they want. Also, there is no correlation between multiple people starting multiple worthless threads with poor feedback and a bug getting fixed. Now if they are actually using the bug reporting, that is a different story. I am certain all of you posting feedback have used the bug report system... right? Or do I need to point to the threads where people have stated they couldn't be arsed to figure out the bug report so are just posting here and doing so with a duplicate of an existing thread because they were too lazy to even see if one already existed?

Because you are repeating the exact same things that have already been acknowledged as an issue by the dev team or they are complaining about something that was purposefully put into the game to make it difficult and different. So yes we get flippant. "I can't drink water out of a fountain." Yup... was acknowledged in a recent stream from less than a week ago as something broken AND there is a fix in the next patch already. "Food and drink message are confusing!" Yup... Rocket stated those needed to go in that recent stream and there are some fixes in the next patch already. "This game has been out a day and it isn't everything I want in a game!" Yup... cause you didn't read that this was going to be a very limited early release ALPHA with tons of very game breaking bugs even though they told you three times before you ever logged into it.

When done in a constructive manner, yes it is. However there is a lot of, "It's broken!" posts about things Dean has already mentioned in various streams up to the release that "This is broken and we intend to fix this but not right away." They know... bug report so they have some idea of how many times it is happening and move on. So maybe not start yet another thread about it? Search function? Checking for other similar threads?

ALPHA.

So don't play it until it is in a state that you think is worth the money you paid. We don't have to listen to you and you don't have to deal with bugs. Win/Win.

LOL... As a First Responder I must tell you that you are mistaken, VERY VERY MISTAKEN.

Good News Everybody. Looks like they will be removing redundant message telling you that you are thirsty/hungry AND adding some indicators in the inventory screen.

I watched a bunch of videos as I was evaluating if I wanted to buy Arma 3 or not. I decided to wait for the standalone after seeing BP on Arma III.

They need to reboot anyway to help with server load and eliminate issues that would crop up from constant running. So they just left the loot/zombies to spawn on restart since they are doing it frequently anyway.

If they tone down the food and drink needs a bit there is no real need to run everywhere. Some games just are not suited to how some people want to play a game. That is why there are other games. Some of us are fine walking/running 3k and having it take a decent amount of time.

Which is basically the same as 4 hour server restarts only twice as often. You will still have people who have the timing down and race around and scoop up items after a "Loot Reset" only now they have twice as much.

Notice I didn't say you couldn't complain. I have said your complaint is dumb, because it is. You are complaining about a system that tends to come AFTER everything else is resolved and fixed. When the AI isn't implemented in the proper way, when the servers haven't been optimized so that the server FPS (which effects inventory and leads to things like items vanishing or players not syncing and dying because they had no idea they were hit), do you think they they really need to be focussing on the fact that YOU PERSONALLY are getting low FPS on your computer when many others are not? I would say... no, they don't care, are not going to care, and you need to suck it up like a big boy and realize that. Graphics are cool and all, but we worry about graphical performance for individuals(see the rest of us are okay so it must be the game and not your computer) once the other systems function the way they should. After all it is pretty silly to optimize when you are going to alter the code in a week and throw most of the work on optimization out the window because the code changed.

These are all things that have been asked over the last few streaming sessions and Dean has stated he would like to eventually get all of those in, but probably not right away during the Alpha. As for lighting it is there. I've seen several streetlights. Oh and Beck... It's not years after the outbreak... more like weeks and months. There will still be some power around.

It certainly avoids the, "Crap I thought I had 10 slots free but I only had 9 and now I just disintegrated my rifle."
