There are also full maps. I found one in a Gas Station. What is the map for? Well it is just as easy to look at a map in game instead of alt+tab and hope no one comes up and kills you because you can't even hear them at this point.

You would have to have some facts or at least evidence for us to weigh what you say as truthful and factual. By the way, Truthful facts is redundant.

Actually that is more awareness than you have when you are ACTUALLY unconscious. Usually I just wake up wondering what the heck happened and why I am on the ground.

If they can host it they will add that crap and there are a bunch of players who will go to it, then other players will go there because their friends are there, then more, then because there is population on those servers... Keep it pure for at least a year or two.

Actually no, a lot of MY answers today have been, "It's a known bug." and "Yes the developers have already stated they intend to change that." The, "It's an Alpha." is reminder that things are not perfect and you need to account for that before complaining. Premising things with, "I realize it is an Alpha but I feel the need to complain about something that has already been stated 10 times on the forum and the devs have even stated is going to be changed eventually but wasn't yesterday when I played so I feel I need to mention it again." doesn't change the fact that it is an alpha and things won't work like you expect them to.

Not every post, just replies to certain people with certain attitudes. I don't like playing in the dark ALL the time either but I also realize the game won't always be that way and if I don't like it I can wait and log in later when a change is made to it.

All you need to do is look at his forum name. It is a stab at Rocket2Guns and so is most likely an account started just to troll until it gets banned.

As a mater of fact... Actually we were not chatting most of the way but we were updating each other on what we were doing and finding as we tried to link up. Even so there are times when running around solo, even on things like Epoch where I ditch the vehicles and tons of gear and just move around the map on foot because I tend to skip past things while driving and I tend to have fun just moving up on an area and interacting with it. In SA I am really enjoying that I can hit even the little 3-4 house clusters and find plenty of items in them in between the larger cities. I think some people are just setting a waypoint on a compass and running straight to a location instead of looking around.

There are three areas that food and drink can boost... Hydration - Energy - Calories Soda Pop has lots of hydration but also boosts energy and calories. Rice, eaten uncooked gives you calories but lowers your hydration, it actually pulls water from your body. Soup(if it exists) would add to hydration and calories about an equal amount or maybe a bit more calories and then some hydration. So you are thirsty but mostly full on food. You drink a soda which doesn't raise your thirst enough to quench it but does have that minor bump up to calories and so you feel full and satisfied.

See... I thought just titling it "ALPHA" was warning enough that there would be game breaking bugs... but... you know. <_<

Known bug. There appear to be some servers that if you switch on and off of them you end up being reset. Some have theorized that the hive system is in chunks and so you are having a bug crop up when you are switching to a different server that is on a different shard of the hive? Don't switch servers if you can help it. Oh, and "Alpha".

Contender pistol! It is a single shot but the different barrels will allow it to fire even shotgun shells and a wide variety of ammo. :)

I was kinda the same. I hit the Internet button once we figured out that it was defaulting to LAN and saw the sea of servers and went, "Wow... it's like they planned it." I was able to hop on a server with low ping and not too many players within 10 minutes of the game downloading. I was stunned.

Orange, Blue, Yellow, Green, Red, Purple.... 1+1+1+1+1+1= 3 right? BTW, Rocket has said he would like to have a grouping system in place someday but it is low priority and he isnt' certain how he would like to implement it yet. At the same time it was stated that the difference in clothes and gear will make it a bit more apparent who your friendlies are and that has been my experience, even in the dark. Edit: How could I forget Purple?

The Open Mic bug was annoying but it did have a few giggle worth moments last night listening to some guy whose friends were telling him he was echoing and then listening to him whine to his mom about having to log out for a while. I rely on sound a lot in games like this for cues and warnings and I was unable to determine anything by sound. It will get better but it is annoying right now. Yeah, we were having a heck of a time getting used to the hunger/thirst messages. I think my friend figured it out today although he passed out last night. Silly me, I could have given him a saline drip and gotten him up but forgot it would probably have to be in my hands to get the message. I like the night, but it does get old. As I stated to friends, "Well, at least the zombies are not agroing on us all the time. It also lets me know when someone is nearby because a lot of players just run around with their flashlight on the whole time. I flick mine on and off as needed to preserve the batterie and so as to not give away my exact position all the time. I know they will be fixing the zombies eventually and the loot spawning but right now it is very easy to end up moving through a picked over area on really busy servers and all the servers are busy because everyone is trying it out. I'm tempted to get up early tomorrow and log in in the morning and see what is what.

Well thought out. A few things I would like to point out. They have stated numerous times that the zombies are placeholder and no where near where they want them and that they had dialed back on the number for now while they get things to a point where they can have lots of zombies wandering around. Dean didn't want to delay the Alpha any further to wait for that to happen. There is a link to a post from Dean stating that loot distribution is not close to finished yet either, that it isn't balanced or spread around correctly and that loot isn't spawning everywhere it should.

There is that better than stating it is just an ALPHA?
