  1. Well, they already play 3PP servers so I don't really think about them. 1PP is the way to go.
  2. To be fair it's a lot more difficult game if you try to not KOS. I don't hink you are "beneath" me but you are certainly playing a less complicated game when your only interaction with others is, "Bang".
  3. There isn't an "Outfit" that makes you look friendly than any other. Even wearing only your underwear you can knock someone out and take their things.

    LongRangeScope VS Acog VS Iron

Um... yeah... I'm confused. Are you saying they are not accurate if you sight them in for the wrong range. Um... Of course not. :)
  5. Are all your friends on the same ISP? Are they all from the same part of the country so they would be routing along the same backbone? If not then you are correct, the server is BAD. However, if you find a good server that doesn't kick you.... why would go to another server? Why are you encountering all these suddenly bad servers you seem to be randomly trying to join? Hmmmmmmmm.... so... in summary I conclude you either: 1. Have bad internet 2. Keep joining random servers instead of logging into servers you know don't drop you constantly (I can think of a reason why someone might do this besides insanity but that is what the feature was designed to help combat) 3. Live in such a remote place in the world that every single server is too far away for a reliable connection for you. 1. Is not the system's fault 2. Is not the system's fault 3. Is not the system's fault
  6. I wouldn't, not in a zombie apocalypse. #1 reason, bows are quieter. One arrow to take out one zombie in the way, or a full mag taking out that zombie and the 20-30 I attract with that shot? Not a hard decision.

    fist up sprinting no longer?

Actually a 43 year old would understand that saying someone is exploiting something is not calling them a bad person twirling their villainous handlebar mustache and cackling. As stated, it's not a big deal. Exploits come and go and this one was rather minor. I can't imagine someone keeping a straight face while stating that all the advantages this mode of movement had while negating the drawbacks other modes of movement had were not in some way an exploit of something. Because of how it was activated it really looks like a bug or a half completed feature that wasn't removed but had the hooks to fire it up removed and someone missed one. What you need to take away from this is that I am not saying you or anyone else is a bad person. What I am saying is I find it hard to believe anyone could convince themselves there wasn't an issue with this mode of movement, I'll address why in a second. Actually... sometimes you would end up with shaky crosshair. There were numerous times where I had run normally due to terrain or having a weapon in hands and when I went into the Fist Sprint I lost all the shakiness I had previously. It appeared the game believed I was either not moving, or moving very slowly when I was in fact moving in the fastest way possible and so it gave me REST while running full out. Even if "faster than sprint sprint" was intended the glitches in it were not. Go back to my definition of an Exploit, using something in a manner not intended by the designers. Using it with those glitches... not intended... exploit. Running from Kamenka to the NEAF without taking a break was not intended and this let you do that.

    Two hands

It is not true that you can only aim one at a time. While it is true you can't look down the sights of two guns pointed at two targets at the same time with practice you can develop the hand eye co-ordination to be able to fire a pistol and hit a man sized target without every looking down the sights. You can do it from the hip or even with a gun in each hand. I can fire two guns at two targets that are not right next to each other and hit a man sized target at about 15 yards often enough to stop two targets. Alternately two pistols means you have 14(or double whatever you normally have) shots before you need to reload. Pop a few off from each gun. Then again 99% of the time you would be more accurate and reload fast enough it wouldn't matter with one gun and some solid practice at reloading quickly. I suppose it would be best for laying down suppression fire with handguns. Olympic Bulls Eye Target Shooters are military? Ehem... :) I think you meant "Common Folk"(who happen to know how to use a gun cleaning kit on various models of guns, box, and how to shoot fairly well.)

Hello... Internet Forum. :) If I wanted to be productive I would not be conversing with others on the forum inbetween work calls.

    fist up sprinting no longer?

Yes I am really 43, most of my generation that played video games in the 70's, 80's, and 90's still play games today. What I am trying to say is there are a lot of factors in the Fist Sprinting that don't add up and make it appear to be an unintended effect. #1. It's gone - this is a big one. If it was intended it would likely be modified, tweaked, and still around, not just vanished. #2. It was counter intuitive - To get the faster Sprint you do it in the slowest movement stance..... ????? #3. It acted as though you were not moving for "fatigue". - In a game where every other movement mode could easily leaving you breathing heavy and unable to aim, a super fast run mode actual treated you as not moving and you could actually REGAIN your breath while doing it. That seems intentional?

    unconscious timer?

Well, to be fair you have no recollection of what happened while your character was unconscious and you wouldn't have of time unless you are staring at a clock which is 4th wall breaking. When you are unconcious you have no clue when you will wake up, neither does your character. I like not having a timer. The Mod had a timer that was not exact but you could guess about how long it would take. That was okay, but not having one means you have to sit there on the edge of your seat waiting for... what? A few minutes?

    fist up sprinting no longer?

Yes and that would be all good and fine except it wasn't Sprinting is done by doing X with your hands. There was Sprinting and then Super Sprinting. Mysteriously the Super Sprinting was activated by going into a stance that made you go slower THEN sprinting. I am pointing out how ridiculous it is to try and convince yourself it was intentional. It was a bug and we, meaning you and I, all exploited it while it was around. Sorry if you can't admit you may have used an exploit in a game no matter how trivial and minor it was. Sheeeeeees. :)

    fist up sprinting no longer?

So, when you go out running and want to put on a Sprint you pull both your fists up into a boxing position in front of your face? Uh huh... are you sure you don't start with them evenly at your sides so that as one moves up and forward the other goes up and back in unison? You know, like everyone else in the world?

    unconscious timer?

No you don't. Have you ever been knocked unconscious? Several things happen as you regain consciousness. First you begin to be able to hear things, typically with a roaring in your ears that fades and lets you start to make out what is going on around you. Then the sensation of your body starts to return but you are still not able to actually move or control it. After that your vision might return and then you will start to regain vision and the ability to move although typically you will be jerky and clumsy until your fully regain consciousness. It is by no means instantaneous.

    fist up sprinting no longer?

Well, you could ask yourself, "Did I use a sequence of actions to gain an effect that it appears was not intended by those actions?" Double tapping the forward button triggers a sprint. Raising your fists which you do to use an item or fight and then double tapping forward caused you to sprint faster. That seems to be unintended ESPECIALLY when you consider raising your fist while walking/jogging makes you move SLOWER.

The Campaign for Iron Sight Zoom

A lot of people don't get the point. Look, by default you have a few vision settings in DayZ:SA so to speak. Running around without anything pressed you have an unfocused view which gives you a wider field of view and allows you to better see all around your character. When you use the "zoom" button your character focusses in and you get what would be a normal level of viewing for most of us in real life. Various scopes allow you to go beyond what we can see with the naked eye but what some are calling zooming is what you can see with the naked eye. You can also further unfocus and zoom out a bit to take in even more of your peripheral vision. I agree with Gews and think having both is the best however if they don't want both they could at the very least go with consistent. Some guns narrow the focus when you look down the optics and some don't and it is really annoying.

What does your weapon say about you?

My weapon says, "Hey, he found me and ammo to feed me and so he will use me until he runs out of ammo to feed me or finds a different gun and makes a decision between the two." I use what I find and don't spend hours hunting a particular piece of equipment, you find that leads to attachment and attachment as we know leads to loss, which leads to grief or anger, which leads to the Darkside.
  18. So, "I have played on servers with safe zones and have found the interaction the OP is thinking will take place doesn't." isn't a real reason?
  19. Look guys in the end there are a few facts: Fact #1: Not everyone is unfriendly, those experiences exist without Safe Zones Fact #2: Safe Zones have been tried in other versions of the Mod. They do not appear to make interactions between players any more friend or any less. Mostly they let players go to NPC traders and turn spare gear into different gear without getting sniped in the middle of their trade. BTW, I don't play on those servers anymore, I found them WORSE with more annoying and abusive players than those that have no safe zones around traders and safety is enforced by players.

Exploit - Using a system in a manner not intended by the designers of the game. If it was not intended that people would run faster by doing a certain sequence of actions then it is an exploit.
  21. I've never called or implied your were stupid... insecure and overcompensating, maybe.... You listing a bunch of games you probably can and would beat me in isn't helping you not look that way.
  22. Ehem... I have killed 1 person in DayZ:SA since it started. 1... self defense, he had a Mosin and I had an Axe. He kept pointing the Mosin at me and wouldn't respond. Turns out he didn't have any ammo, but it was still self defense. This would be: https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/ad-hominem
  23. Yeah... he doesn't get it. It's okay... He will just continue to project his behaviours onto others and accuse them of being the same as him so that he doesn't have accept responsibility for his own actions and how they affect his interactions with others. The truth of the matter is I don't need safe zones to have friendly interactions. Ergo it is not impossible, but the OP wants to say it is because his own actions make it impossible for HIM. Obviously he couldn't be mistaken about his approach to the game so it must be a problem with the game and everyone else.
  24. Like I said. You can't trust yourself not to shoot people and project that behaviour onto all the rest of us. Guess what, we aren't all douchebags who shoot people on sight. That's you... your deal... stop assuming we are and trying to enforce something with a safe zone that you can be responsible enough to do all by yourself.
