Remove server skip timer after being kicked

No. It's too hard to determine what was your own free will or not. You might think it wouldn't be but it would be blindingly simple to Alt-F4 out of the game or pull a network plug or Taskmanager-Kill Process to get out of the game for the purposes of Ghosting and Server Hopping which is why the timer exists in the first place.

    New gamemode

It's a form of stealing. The modder does not have permission to use the assets and therefore is stealing them.

    0.55 Zombies Destroying Noobs?

All I heard was, "So I watched this guy struggle, then when he was successful I decided to be a dick."

    Let's talk performance.

Actually, you would be completely wrong. If I go online and buy pieces and parts for a new computer over several months watching for deals on specific parts that I want that I have carefully reviewed and spend $1,700 on the parts then assemble it myself my computer will be at least 3 times better than something you bought at Walmart for the same price and probably twice as nice as something you bought at TigerDirect pre-assembled or in a "kit". Same thing with age. A two year old E-machine you paid $300 for at Bestbuy isn't the same as a two year old custom machine that was using components that were in the top third for quality. WHAT you actually put into the machine or what it is is important. What you spent to get it, or how old it is is not relevant.

Impact of 3rd Party Comms (TS3, VENT, etc.)

This is so easy to work around it's ridiculous. Are you going to monitor ALL of the various mics hooked to my computer? I have a Webcam with mic, stand alone mic, and headset with mic. I could easily mute my headset mic manually if that is the one you are listening to and that doesn't stop me from using my cellphone/tablet/laptop with an earbud that has a built in mic. If I chose my ingame mic I can even set up a non-functional mic in Windows that I can route it to so it can't listen in. I agree it is SO much better using only ingame communication from playing ARMA... but it's impossible to prevent it.

    Does DayZ need aeiral transport?

Um, not to burst your bubble. There is a "reload" hotkey in DayZ and if you have a gun that uses mags, speedloaders, or clips for those that use them(Mosin/SKS) you tap the button and you reload. You can then top off your mag or reload your empty clip/speedloader. I flew planes in the mod and you are incorrect. There are hundreds of places you can actually land small planes and things like gyrocopters around Chernarus. Pick a stretch of highway that doesn't have electrical poles alongside it and there you go. There are also many fields that work as well.
  7. You brought up making the game more accessible so it would sell more. So now you are saying your point is pointless? Riiiiiiiiight.... <_< You won't have what is in the video. If you stopped and read about the future plans for DayZ you would know that the current run speed is because they knew they would not be able to implement vehicles right away as they wanted to rebuild that part of the game from the ground up. Since the distances in Chernarus are large they gave the players a break and granted them a VERY fast movement speed. This will be removed once vehicles are more properly implemented. At that point a guy with an axe won't be able to zip around fast enough to avoid gunfire. So your worries(excuses?) are groundless. This is the point where I mention it is an alpha and the movement speed is a placeholder till vehicles are ready. Alpha. BTW, it's and alpha and not all systems are implemented yet.
  8. Yes, because it is an option. That doesn't tell you how many would have bought the game if 1st Person Perspective were the only option. No, it does make the game harder and more unforgiving. Flanking has very real consequences other than just removing cover. A player caught between two others on opposite flanks can not easily switch between firing on them, like they can in some games where you can spin a 360 easily. Some weapons also have more drag than others which will make things like Pistols/Sawed off/SMGs valuable in tight spaces and up close. Free look also becomes a very useful thing when you can't snap your mouse to the side to look then snap back without breaking stride.
  9. Selling more games is debatable. For example, Mechwarrior:Online decided to make itself "more accessible" and added a 3rd person perspective to the game so that the masses could play easier since they wouldn't be used to controlling movement with one system and aiming with another and how to maneuver. This was despite a poll taken and 98% of the answering player base being against the addition. They lost players, TRUST (as they had said there would never be 3rd person in the game, and gained almost nothing from making the game "more accessible". Look at the most recent status report to see why things like dexterity should and probably will remain in the game: The lead designer stated this:
  10. Because if they want a game that doesn't have that mechanic there are literally hundreds and hundreds of them out there they can play without that mechanic. The game doesn't HAVE to change to meet their needs. If it does change then we will be back to having one full server of people playing vanilla DayZ; 100 vanilla servers with 5-10 people playing on them; and 300 bastardizations that will all eventually have a vehicle every 100 meters and people will start with an AK74 with two mags, a backpack, food, drink, no nighttime, no dexterity(as you call it), self bloodbag, and there will be tanks and attack helicopters. I really want to play DayZ not a version of Arma 3:Wasteland that also has zombies. There should be options for the servers, but there should also be some core mechanics that are written in stone. The stamina system we will eventually see and such should be one of them, as should food and drink, the health system, and the system you don't like.
  11. Because years of playing in the mod has shown that if people have the option between easy and harder 90% will choose easy. That means 90% of the people play DayZ like it's BF3. So at some point they should just go play BF3 and leave DayZ for those that want that "harder" experience. The harder experience is actually a LOT more satisfying... but a lot of people....

When will the Sway be fixed?

If the spread is minimal on a pristine weapon, say about 20-30cm at 800m then you compensate by aiming for central body mass and NOT trying for a head shot. Now in RL wind and humidity can alter a bullet's flight path by that much and without the proper equipment and calculations you can't compensate for that.
  13. Let's ask a better question. Why do you play a game that you don't like the mechanics for when nearly every other game out there doesn't have that specific mechanic that bugs you? See the problem with them adding a server toggle for this option is that there are tons of features some people will not like and will also want a toggle for. Normally this would be a slippery slope fallacy but it actually has merit in this case because people are ALREADY asking for the ability to turn off certain features other than this one. Some people want to remove the complex medical system. Some want to adjust the food & drink system. Some actually want to just remove the zombies. I played the mod and I even played mods of the mod. There are a ton of people who have a very low opinion of the DayZ Epoch mod and the reasons they give are ALL related to non-vanilla "We didn't like that feature" servers. Safe zones is a huge one, but vanilla Epoch had no safe zones... people added them in. Epoch had very large backpacks and storrage... but added weight to everything and a stamina system. You could carry everything needed to fix a car on your person, but you would have to stop and rest every 20 meters or you would pass out. Tons of people removed the stamina/weight system as it was "inconvenient" which lead to other balance issues since backpacks were larger. So let's play the game the way the devs develop it and wait a while before we start adding in ways around all the things that make it harder.
  14. You don't like playing DayZ though. You like playing FPSers that don't have weapon drag..... of which there are thousands. Go play one of the thousands instead of playing the game that does have weapon drag. You: "I really like Tin Roof Sunday ice cream, but I don't like peanuts in it." Confused Icecream guy: "Um, all Tin Roof Sunday comes with peanuts???? We have thirty other flavors that don't have peanuts, why didn't you order one of the other flavors?" You: "Well, I really like Tin Roof Sunday ice cream, I just don't like nuts. Can you pick them out?"

When will the Sway be fixed?

Players also know the possibilities of weapon sway and good players will pause in cover to reduce sway, check frequently for broken arms and splint them, and can even time a shot when swaying by being patient enough to watch the sway and fire when things line up instead of blasting away. If we could randomly sprain our ankles then good players would carry splints or the materials to craft them to counter that randomness. That would be the point I was making. Sway can be combated. Knowing your weapon that is not in pristine condition and will be slightly less accurate can be combated by just knowing that and compensating for it. Most likely a worn gun wouldn't have lost much accuracy but a damaged and badly damaged gun WILL and at that point a player can counter this by finding one of those RANDOM SPAWNED weapon cleaning kit. How many times have you found something like the really rare mag for a pistol you often spot and then not found the pistol at all the places that normally spawn one? I have found 2 75 round mags for an AKM and then hit EVERY barrack and the prison looking for one on a server when it was empty and had just restarted for an AKM with a few friends. We found AK74s, AK74Us, and AK101s equipping everyone but not one AKM. These things happen, it's random. Obviously no one is proposing there is a random chance of a meteor falling out of the sky and striking you in the head without warning. Certain randomness, when the player will be aware it exists, is not always a bad thing. Rain is random. Loot is random although certain locations only ever have the chance of spawning one of a grouping of things. Combined they can easily lead to the death of a player if they are spawned in, it starts raining, and they can't find a raincoat or other waterproof gear or a means to warm up.

When will the Sway be fixed?

Well, you have to admit that even with random occurrences the sneakier, more skilled, more intuitive, and clever person would still have an advantage and would be more likely to adapt when random chance threw them a curve ball. See, an actually skilled player is going to account for all the crap that could go wrong. They are going to have a plan B and a plan to get out of there should the worst happen. I laugh at the people saying, "Randomness removes skill." No, it moves the skill bar from pure reflexes to brains and adaptability. You are, by the way, playing a game FULL of randomness that can and will kill you. Did that location spawn food/guns/ammo that you desperately need to survive? Did a truck spawn here? Did someone else spawn here right before you and jump in that truck and is now about to run you over? Did a zombie just respawn while you were bandaging from killing another zombie and start running at you? Is it about to rain and freeze you before you find any waterproof gear? Will you have to stop your search for the food/drink/weapons you need to survive to light a fire and get warm so you don't freeze to death, or are you about to find a heatpack that will get you by? Will your ammo be destroyed by a zombie/bullet hit leaving you with and empty gun? Life is a series of events both good and bad and how you deal with them is the important part. Why should a video game based off how people deal with adverse events be any different?

What Will Happen To PVP in 0.55?

You have said this multiple times in this thread but it is by no means true. I've bypassed numerous zombies at less than 100 yards simply by watching them and knowing where they are facing and being quiet. Heck I have moved up to zombies, rushed the last few feat when they finally notice me and start to turn and taken them out with melee before they could turn fully around. I've also taken out hundreds of them with bows which are silent enough to not aggro any of the others and you have to be about 30 feet away to hit most things with a bow. MP5 or Pistol with a suppressor works fairly well too, you just need to be certain there are not multiples closer than 50 feet from each other. They also don't tend to see you through walls, they see you through windows. Unfortunately once they have spotted you, even a glimpse then they seem to know where you are no matter if they still have LoS or not until you are out of their aggro range. Now, that isn't always true, just usually. I have managed to wait out a zombie that was stalking me after closing the doors on them. Eventually they forgot about not being able to reach me because I moved silently when I did move and didn't give them any more glimpses of me. I was then able to slip out the back and slip away without further agro.
  18. .....or if you don't like it go play one of the millions of games implemented that way instead of asking to change one of the few that isn't. Right??????

    Such DayZ

    Kamyshovo? Really? Why?
  20. The advantages outweigh the negatives. For one thing my friends and I can actually tactically clear an area and know that it is fairly secure. I mean someone could have logged out in the back corner of a building and choose that moment to log back in, but that is a lot less likely than someone hopping from Server A to Server B to Server C and then to the server we are on. We also don't have people getting into a hard to reach but effective location on an empty server then hopping to a full one to snipe from that position.
  21. Actually, it is BETTER. For one thing I will log into Server X to play with friends 1, 2, and 3. When it is only 3 and I playing we log into server Y. Once we find each other and one of us needs to go we ALL log off that server. The rest of us can hop onto another server and play and not leave our friend all alone in an area of the map we can't get back to easily.

Discussion about weapon slots on your back

They should definitely not eliminate it until they offer us much better options. Most modern assault rifles can be used in an assault sling like below which would not interfere with a gun slung over your shoulder. This would be an interesting addition to the game even if it took the place of some vests as long gave a person a few slots(say 2x2 to hold 2 mags) and then allowed you to attach something like an MP5, AK74U, MP-133 Shotgun with Pistol Grip, Sawed off Shotgun, or PM73-RAK. Most melee weapons should be carried on belt hooks and sheaths. I can see why they did it though since most backpacks, even civilian, have a place able to hold something like an axe as well as hiking poles and such which could be converted to hold a gun.
  23. Ghosting refers to the process of logging out of one server and into a second server then moving to a different location and logging out of that and back into the original server. What this does is allow you to pass across a space without physically crossing it on the one server. An example would be running into a group of players that have an area locked down. Say they are in a Jail with the front door covered by multiple people. A "Ghosting" player would log out of the server they are on and log into an empty server. He would then enter the jail on the empty server and move to a position behind the players watching the door. From there he would log out of the second server and into the original server and would now be behind those people watching the door and could ambush them from what should be a secured back room if the hive system wasn't in place. There is no way to actually get behind them without changing servers. It gets it's name because mythically ghost are on a different plane than our reality and able to pass through objects. Someone hopping servers is in a different reality and able to bypass people and closed doors... like a ghost.
  24. Private Servers eliminate two things I really hate in DayZ.... 1. Ghosting. 2. Server hopping for loot. So I don't play on Public Servers. Simple solution to both problems.

    Using Online Map Cheating?

Most of the players who have spent any amount of time in game can be dropped nearly anywhere on the map and have their bearings in about 10-20 minutes. Once they know where they are they can typically go, "I need water and there should be a stream to the West." or "That town over there has a well near the East side." They can even do things like, "Oh, shotgun shells... if I head over there I should find 3 "gun houses" and have a good chance of getting a shotgun." All the online maps do is allow newer people to get an understanding of the map that most veteran players already have.
