I do base my actions towards another player based on the weapon they possess. If i see someone with an pistol i will let them keep on their merry way. If i see someone with a shotgun i react the same way as the pistol. Assault rifles i will give them a chance. If i see someone with an LMG or Sniper Rifle i KOS. Now for some people they will not agree with my choice especially hero's. I consider everyone a threat but when the person of interest is one baring a sniper they are a death sentence to myself and others regardless of skin. A ghillie to me means someone who is trying not to be seen, camo clothing is the same thing but they could not find a ghillie. Bandit skin is a bandit skin and hero skins to me mean they could be a good person or they are a bandit in disguise (changed with the new patch). Back to the point anyone with a sniper rifle in their hands means they arent looking to protect themselves from zombies regardless of the type of sniper. The LMG means that person has massive suppression capabilities/killing power. When someone poses a serious threat to myself or my clan/squad i shut them down before they can get the chance to do the same to myself.

And what proof do you have of this? Only the stupid and careless people would die in a real Zombie Apocalypse... Honestly the world needs a zombie apoc to thin out the overwhelming stupidity in the world today.

I know people are either in love with or completely against 1.7.7... To those who are in love with it i say thank you for seeing it for what it truly is. DayZ was desperately in need of of this patch to first bring it back to its roots and secondly to make it worth playing once more. To those who are completely against the patch i want you to take this in. This is much more than just a game, it is a simulation. For those of you who have the general idea of what simulation means but don't know the technical definition here it is... "the act or process of pretending; feigning". It is meant to be as real as possible and the only limitations it has to getting the desired realism is the Arma 2 engine. Hence the design and development of DayZ Standalone. Quite a few people play DayZ for their interpretation of fun and i respect that. The one thing that still boggles my mind is that there servers running the previous patch still in existence. Why aren't you active on those servers if the current patch isn't what you desire? Some people might say "Well my main server upgraded to the new patch" or "I only play official servers!!!". To those of you who had their main server updated i feel bad because i know what its like to have that community built on a server that you don't wish to part from. To those of you who only play official servers i say to you, why dont you play private servers then? Is it simply because you want to ghost people? If that is your only reason then im sorry but tough shit. There are plenty of private servers that are complied to be exactly the same as official servers but eliminate the ghosting ability. You now have a few choices... 1. Move on and join a private server and accept the loss. 2. Accept the patch to keep your ghosting abilities 3. Quit DayZ. There is still Arma 2 and mods for it that even i still enjoy playing. Granted i know that in reality that DayZ is meant to please the vast majority of the consumers but there is one thing people have obviously forgotten... DAYZ MOD IS FREE. They don't have to do a damn thing to please anyone regardless of what they are complaining about. Standalone is a different subject from the mod. Now im not saying these things because i want people to stop expressing their opinions of the mod/patch i just simply want people to open their eyes. So many people have truly forgotten what DayZ is supposed to be about. I read a post in one of the topics about the new patch where someone mentioned that they liked the human interaction aspect of the game but when they changed the zombies to make them a viable threat it took away from the game or even destroyed it and went on to mention that the zombies were dangerous enough in the previous patch. That just blew my fucking mind. Are you serious with that crap? THIS IS A ZOMBIE SIMULATION/GAME NOT THE SIMS... I understand that not everyone has the necessary skills to survive easily in this game and im not flaming/hating/bashing on them for it but seriously it wasn't that hard to learn to deal with the zombies the way they were. For myself the zombie threat was about a high as a hamster with a stick in its ass but maybe that's just me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and i respect that. However i do believe that some people just wish to have everything handed to them in video games. I like to be challenged when i play pretty much anything. I like to know that if i don't make the right choices that there will be dire consequences and that for me is what a game should be. If i wanted to play a game where i have everything already then i will play a game with cheat codes. I come to play DayZ to have the realism and envelopment into the game.I think if more people were to look at DayZ even slightly the way i do that they too would enjoy the new patch. Please don't mistake this as me telling people to shut the hell up because that's not what this is by any means. This is offering a different perspective to others and also a thank you to the developers and the entire DayZ mod team for doing a tremendous job in my opinion. I know there are bugs but there will always be a bug or more. I know there are some things they cannot change like the zombies hitting through the wall and i do not hold them accountable for it even though a lot of people are still ignorant to that fact. (Quick side note to those of you who think that ignorant is an insult it is not, its a term to describe lack of knowledge even though i am fully aware it is used in a derogatory manor frequently) The best advice i can give to those who oppose or are struggling with the patch is to look at the positives rather than just the negatives.

To Everyone Complaining About 1.7.7
Jantr replied to NovaDose's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
All I've seen so far about the discussions regarding this patch is either its too hard or stop bitching. Honestly i think all the people who think its too hard should be looking at it through a different perspective. Not that its too hard but now i have a chance to become better at something. Not everyone is amazing at something right away. It takes time and effort to develop the skills to be "good" at a game. Don't just give up because you have a challenge now. I know for myself and some others out there when i first saw this game i fell in love with the idea. All i could think was "I've got this!" and i was wrong... At first. As far as the people who are telling others to stop bitching or go play COD you should really respect the fact that everyone has and is entitled to their own opinion. So they think the game is too hard. That doesn't give you the right to sit there and tell them to go play another game or stop complaining. This is the forums people, this is where they are allowed to come and voice their concerns or issues with the game as it stands currently. That's how developers learn whats best for the general public. Whether or not you like the new patch or not, not everyone is going to agree on everything. I like the new patch personally but do i believe everything is balanced? No i do not and i do have my ideas of what would make it better but whats the point of posting it anymore. All that's going to happen is i will say my ideas and then they will be flamed for not being what some others want. So i don't waste my time... I have a choice to not read the forums but i do because I'm curious of what others think of the game/patch currently but all I'm seeing is "bashing" on others opinions. Some of you out there think you are pro at this game and that anyone who is struggling sucks at the game. Well here is a news flash, somewhere out there no matter how skilled you think you are there is someone better than you who thinks you suck. People seem to forget its just a game and take things to a personal level which it shouldn't have gone to but humans will be humans. If you don't enjoy the game you have the option to leave and never come back as well as the option to continue the struggle and become a survivor. The difference with myself and others is I'm not going to tell you which option to take. That is your choice and yours alone. Now before the smart asses of the world get the opportunity to say "Well the responses to people's complaining is their own opinion" i want you to know that yes it is their opinion but it isn't one of the game. Its simply the opinion of the player when the people who are complaining are sharing an opinion of the game. Let the flaming begin! -
What I like the most about 1.7.7 update?
Jantr replied to Pwny (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Im sorry, you are entitled to your opinion but the game was losing its luster for me. It was simply too easy to survive in DayZ and my opinion is that the mod wasn't intended for that. The zombies were "buffed" to make them a threat because anyone who played DayZ for more than 5 minutes knew how little threat they posed. I dont think they should be easy to lose, they are vicious beasts hunting for food with a relentless blood lust. As far as them passing on an infection... Well i mean come on, they are a cesspool of sickness and disease. Do you honestly believe in a situation such as the one presented in DayZ, that you wouldnt fall ill from a zombie attack? All they did was make it more realistic. I love the new changes, just not the loot. As seen before ^^. -
What I like the most about 1.7.7 update?
Jantr replied to Pwny (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I like the idea of making loot more scarce but for me its almost non existent. I find one useful item per 30 tin cans sometimes more. 1 out of 3 buildings i search yields maybe one useful item. Honestly this is worse than DayZ 2017 because at least in there you can still find food and meds without farming for 2 hours. Granted i may be stretching it a bit but i think that the loot is far too scarce. -
One of the most evil deeds ive done as a bandit.

You can find them from the gear of a freshly spawned SUV and you can also find them in the barracks of the North West Air Field. (Source: http://dayzdb.com/database/satchel-charge and experience)
