Isn't DayZ already the Epoch mod combined? You guys are waiting so badly for modding to come that you don't even realize that most of the features or ideas that were in these mods will probably be added to the actual DayZ. -
The thing is, last christmas most idiotic teens 12-14 didn't have DayZ standalone. By now I'm sure they all begged their parents money and now those squeakers you always here will decide to be "clever" and ruin this peaceful day.

Just kind of a "survey/experiment" test if SA early access was released today

Better explanation: I'm just doing a little test to see what people's reactions would be if the StandAlone was never released last year in December, and was actually released early access around now, WITH the progress it made so far. So remember how last year people blew a raging fit because they said "oh stand alone was out for a year and this is all they have right now? wtf is this sh**?" Do you think reactions would be worse or better if it was released now, with content so far? (PRETEND IT WAS NEVER RELEASED LAST DECEMBER) -
I'm sorry for coming off as an asshole. It's just getting kind of buggy because of the amount of people we get around here uninformed.

In the future, the "Prestine" and "Worn" set should definitely have the textures that the current "damaged" status texture has. It just looks WAY too clean and untouched, as if it came right out of the factory when you found it. By the way, I think that guns should also take damage if you shoot them because they are always prestine when you look them off a dead body. -

Usually when I do find a heli crash, it's just littered with M4 magazines and an occasional damaged carry handle. Sometimes I even find a damaged ACOG. Also, do any of you guys find worn or prestine+ ACOGs or scopes at heli crashes? I can never find them, so I'm not sure if they spawn prestine.

I feel like they just don't care and this incorrect magnification crap stuff is going to stay in the game forever. I really hope they fix it later on in the year or by 2015. -
The devs seriously need to create some kind of worth to your character like "skills" you can aquire over time. That way when people hold eachother up they are like "just take my stuff anything let me go please!" because they are worried about keeping said abilities. Then it will make less of a clusterfuck to shoot everything and to just "yolo" things.

One time I encountered a dude looting a heli crash completely unaware of me. I went up to him and waved while he cowered away saying "please dont shoot". -
