I found out my issue was that my computer user account was actually set to "Standard account". I simply changed it to Administrator account type and it allowed BattlEye to update. I can play normally now.

Same thing is happening to me. I have no idea why it's doing this all of a sudden but it's a real pain in the ass and I wanted to play DayZ.

I'm confused on why it's asking me to do this after all this time? I've owned SA for nearly a year now. Also many of the guides are very complex but I may have to do it if I want to play DayZ again.

So when I clicked to play DayZ, I was prompted with this window that was saying in order to play on BattlEye protected servers I had to accept the BattlEye EULA first. So I click on that and I agree to the terms, then a prompt shows up saying "Installing BattlEye Service...", "Failed to Install BattlEye Service". What? Why can't I play?

This just shows how badly everyone wants PVP in DayZ.

It is known and it will happen as it did in the Mod. Don't act like people won't be these bandit shooting turrets with backpacks full of magazines and food so they can camp for hours as a bush because that is exactly what people did.

I actually do want to see this because it's currently way to easy for any idiot bandit to pick up a scope and "zero" to whatever number then go on a sniping rampage.

20-30 FPS is actually pretty good inside cities, considering they give most people shit frames. Usually I get about 10-15 in cities.

you guys are acting like vehicles are some kind of finished product. wait for vehicles to get at least some what stable until they reduce run speed.
