This is the problem with DayZ at the moment. Dick heads and douche bag kill on sight idiots are always killing everyone or leading them into traps. That isn't encouraging at all to new players or friendlies. It just makes them more mad, that they will turn into the same dick head douche bags that the ones before them were. And then the cycle continues... BUT SCREW THAT. My number 1 rule is: 1. If it moves, shoot it. Then, 2. If it doesn't die, shoot it some more. 3. Only have mercy on those who claim friendly first, if I hadn't killed them already, and leave the area.

i prefer the M4 because you can always find lots of ammo and I'm usually shooting at zombies here and there so a Mosin wouldn't really work out for me because I like to kill zombies. Whatever you prefer is what you go with.

So I was playing on a night server and I checked to make sure it was public. Then I left and then I joined another server that was also public but it was daylight during that time on the server. When got in I was spawned like a new person. What happened?

@OP, Really? Are you that much of a baby that you can't even survive a night server? What has this come to? You know that DayZ is about surviving, having realism. Realism is not when the sun is out all day of your life, 24/7. If you bought DayZ and you are now complaining about no 24/7 daylight servers, you are seriously just a wimp. Get used to it.

I don't always go killing randomly on a rampage. But when I do, I do it silently. STAY HIDDEN, MY FRIENDS!

I am wondering as you can see in the title if DayZ will start to increase in price from 30$ to the 40-60sh range as it continues to get better with fixes and add-ons. Do you think I should buy it now, or wait? Also I don't care that a lot of stuff is missing, because I will still enjoy playing.

I seriously hope this isn't going to be one of those games that goes into developers hell for like 10 years straight, and then next gen computers come out so they have to rework their whole game and upgrade it.

I think it would be cool if we could get a shovel or something and dig holes or something like that into the ground to make little tunnels or shelters to store/hide things inside. And maybe make traps so if people are running, they can fall down into it and break their legs. Just something I think would be awesome. Probably own't be added though.

I would like a Bi-Pod or Tri-pod attachment to make steadier aiming for guns.

Maybe they could set a limit on how deep you can go or something.

So I decided to build a base for the first time, and decided to log out to look up some recipes. When I logged back in, my PKM was missing from my backpack. I had also noticed this happened before to my M24, when I got into a serious fire fight, it just disappeared from my backpack when opened it after logging in shortly before, and that would have been crucial. I don't know why its disappearing, it's really annoying, and can be a killer sometimes. It's ONLY the weapon in my backpack that is disappearing, none of the ammo for it, nothing else. I am really annoyed because I have to keep going back to find another replacement and it's risky. Anyone know of this/ solutions?

I never aborted in combat, I never even said anything about combat. When I said I got into a firefight when I realized my M24 was missing, that was when I had parked my car and left in a safe forest, went to afk, then relogged and got into a fight when a mission popped up. Still need solution or something to avoid this.

Here is my reasoning as to why people like/play epoch a lot all of a sudden: Once upon a time, a person with a large dayz audience named frankie decided to check out the Epoch mod. After he released his video on it, the mod went viral and people desperately tried to stalk him and noobs started playing the mod just because he played it, and the holy saint frankie worshippers started playing it.

why would you need money to create music and lyrics...? My sister does this all the time and no money asked.

It really depends on the server you are on. Some have barracks right on the coast, with god mode trader zones and self blood and all that crap, some servers have it really hard, with very scarce loot areas. But I just go back to different mods since epoch doesn't really keep me hooked. Just find the right server that fits your style.

oh my god. it's all these epoch noobs who started playing epoch because they saw frankie playing it. and now they flood the forums with their stupid crap stuff that isn't even rare in epoch standards.

So yesterday I was in NWAF and I had found a ghillie suit and M4A1 there (custom barracks and stuff) and it was really awesome. Then today after school I relog under a tree at NWAF and I hear a biplane flying over and a bandit ejects out of it. I hear shots coming from him, so I prone under a tree right next to the airstrip. Moments later I'm looking around and I just see the bandit prone 5 meters in front of me. So I take him out with my M4A1 and even before I have a chance to unprone, about 10 zombies pop out of nowhere and start attacking me. Then what's even worse is when I started to get up I got knocked out. Then after the knock out finished, they knocked me out AGAIN. WTH. Well I died because they ate me, and it was just total bullshit.

Well, ever since the new choose spawn feature was introduced in 1.8 (yes I know it's optional), on big servers that I love to play on for vanilla dayz, people just keep choosing the same spawn and come back to kill eachother. Like Electro, I am a hero getting gear, and there are at least 15 other people wondering around too. There is massive gun fights, and when one bandit dies, he comes back 5 seconds later because of the choose spawn. Then everyone starts shooting on sight and run and shoot. Basically Call of Duty. Then what's even worse is when you have ALL the bandits and survivors doing that, they keeping dying, respawn at the same city and it's run and shoot because they can just go back to their body. I don't really like this.

So I was running down to Cherno with my M24 and M4A3 CCO. I was hidding in the back forest looking to counter snipe some bandits but Cherno seemed pretty dead as I didn't see any bandits to kill after 30 minutes. Just tons of fresh spawn survivors running around with zombies on them. So seeing that it is dead, I go run across the back forest all the way to Elektro to see if there are some bandits running around elektro to kill. Well as I'm on the counter sniper hill just eyeing the main sniper hill, I hear dozens of sniper shots coming out to my right side (left side of elektro), near the bushes. So I'm crouching jogging over there and I hear a pop near me so I hide, thinking they saw me. But nothing else happened so I thought maybe it was just a random bullet I heard. So I continue making my way towards where i hear the sniper shots and then I see him. I see the camo clothing bandit sniper just prone rolling in the bushes looking for targets. Then he just starts looking my way and all around him doing a 360 many times. So I am hiding behind a tree where I can see him and I'm wondering if that is the only sniper or if someone else is around. So I'm just sitting here looking at him when all of a sudden some bambi survivor runs up behind me and takes my M4 out of my back pack which results in me killing him because he was probably going to shoot me (sorry mr survivor). Well the sniper who I was watching obviously heard the shots since I was 10 meters away and started looking in my direction. While that happened another camo clothing guy came out of the bushes and shot the sniper who was looking at me, then HE started looking in my direction. After a few moments of both of us glances back and forth, while he is prone just aiming right at me, I get my sights on his head and peak the side of the tree. I head shot him and both elektro snipers are down. I check all of their gear and they had a M14, M40A3, and DMR with plenty of mags, bags, and food to survive for a long time. Mission: Counter Snipe Snipers - Complete.

Well. If they did add that they did a pretty fucking horrible job. All it does is let the zombie knock you out, then let the zombie EAT YOU which will basically take you down to 3000 health, but if there is 2 zombies or more you are fucking screwed and dead.
