I was running to elektro and I saw this guy with an m4 just randomly flinging his arms all around. He didn't care about my presence at all. He just kept doing some kind of reloading noise and his arms flailing wildly. He ran about way faster than anyone could go, and then when I started hitting him, he just starts shooting into the air. The m4 isn't even pointed at me. Just shooting stright up into the air and instant headshot on me. Dead.

Perhaps in the future of DayZ they should add in blank bullets that just make the noise of firing your gun, but nothing actually comes out. You could use this to scare people away or try to fake out people by shooting blanks.

Anyone see random dead characters with fairly good items just sitting around the coast, and the gear still stays on the body even though you can take it? If I take the gear, I will have it for about 5 minutes, but then it disappears. Normal gear that I find still stays on me. I might be late but what is this?

This is mainly what happens to me if I am in any kind of server: If I meet a person who has no guns or just is friendly then we become good allies. BUT. As soon as I meet someone with top tier shit, they all shoot on sight.

I was having a pretty rough looting time in elektro, I kept getting killed while finding nothing good but food, kept getting really good respawns at elektro, then killed again. Then finally I decided to run in one last time. I went to the top of the school house office building thing, and it was as if god had taken a holy shit onto the earth just for me. I found a mosin and a PU scope just sitting there on the top of the building, waiting for me. It was all pristine. I got it and ran the hell away. I found some ammo for the mosin in another building I was looting. So then I was walking up some stairs in hope for some food and then bam. I fell through the 2nd floor or stairs. It was right at the end of the stairs. I was thinking holy shit, this cannot be happening. As soon as I get good gear, I am bound to crash into some stupid bug. I was freaking out a lot and I was telling myself I would not die because of this dumbass bug. So I kept trying to re-log on different servers but no luck. I tried running around the inside of the "space" under the stars and no luck. Finally I tried squeezing my guy as far as he could under the stair case, then re-logged and he thankfully appeared on the top of the stairs so I ran out of there and got out of Elektro. I thought they fixed this stuff... it's like the same thing that happened in the dayz mod.

I died Basically I was looting a barrack and some dude opens up the door right into the room im in. Since his m4 was pointing right at me I didn't take any chances and put 15 good bullets straight in his chest. I'm just blowing away at him and then what do you know? He just lagging a little, sticks 1 bullet in my body and we both die. BS.

marc that's a horrible idea because people could just kill anyone before they touch the ground.

I bought dayz last week, and not ONCE have I spawned anywhere on the south cost (balota, cherno, elektro, etc). It's really annoying because everything on the east coast is a stupid place to be, there is nothing to do, and berazino isn't fun anymore. And YES, I know you could just simply run to an airfield or something, but come on, I don't feel like freaking running 8,000M just to simply get to a city I HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN TO YET.

Is novy sobar some kind of secret spawn point or just a rare spawn area? I've spawned there about 2 times in the past 2 days now, but usually I am spawned on the coast. This only happens very rarely. Bug?

Here is my story of an encounter with a camper on the fire house... I was looting the west upper barrack in NWAF, checking to see if I could find an ACOG for my M4. With no luck, I decided to head down the the fire house but I decided to loot the little industrial places leading down to it. Didn't really find anything good so I went to check this one last shed house thing. Then as I'm just standing out side, I see some lump on top of the fire house tower and I instantly knew I was being watched. The lump of person shoots at least 6 bullets from an M4 at me WHILE I was standing still, and his bad aim shooting never put a bullet in me. I frantically ran inside the shed and shut all the doors. He popped a few shots at the door trying to scare me, but I stayed in. I decided to make a run for the hole in the wall near the trees and get on the other side for cover. Since I now had cover, I could peak around the corners and see him. I watched as he came down the tower but I wasn't at an angle where I could shoot him. He knew I was down here, so he started patrolling all over the fire house roof. Then he decided to climb down the ladder that leads to the ground. I moved over to get a shot at him and shot 3 times at his body, and I think I hit him once. He started to climb back up the ladder while he was already half way through, and I shot 2 more bullets, then *POP*. His body is gone. I go up there to check to see if he is there an no body. He combat logged. That's the lowest shit I've ever seen. If you are going to go sitting around up on the NWAF fire house, camping it to try to kill unsuspecting people and steal their shit, but combat log when you fail to do so, that's really low. Gtfo out of dayz.

Some of the optics such as ACOG and PU scope need more magnification in my opinion because they don't really seem to zoom in all that much. At least to my eyes that is...

Every time I visit that huge hoard of tents at the top of NWAF, there is exactly no loot in it except for sodas. Even when the server freshly restarts I check them and nothing is there.

Perhaps some of you babies need to re-read the description of the game when you buy it on STEAM perhaps? Quote from the description on STEAM: "WARNING: THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. Well seeing as I saw him prone on top of the tower, I'm pretty sure he was using his sights, if not that it's just bad accuracy from his gun.

This is the problem with DayZ at the moment. Dick heads and douche bag kill on sight idiots are always killing everyone or leading them into traps. That isn't encouraging at all to new players or friendlies. It just makes them more mad, that they will turn into the same dick head douche bags that the ones before them were. And then the cycle continues... BUT SCREW THAT. My number 1 rule is: 1. If it moves, shoot it. Then, 2. If it doesn't die, shoot it some more. 3. Only have mercy on those who claim friendly first, if I hadn't killed them already, and leave the area.

i prefer the M4 because you can always find lots of ammo and I'm usually shooting at zombies here and there so a Mosin wouldn't really work out for me because I like to kill zombies. Whatever you prefer is what you go with.

So I was playing on a night server and I checked to make sure it was public. Then I left and then I joined another server that was also public but it was daylight during that time on the server. When got in I was spawned like a new person. What happened?

@OP, Really? Are you that much of a baby that you can't even survive a night server? What has this come to? You know that DayZ is about surviving, having realism. Realism is not when the sun is out all day of your life, 24/7. If you bought DayZ and you are now complaining about no 24/7 daylight servers, you are seriously just a wimp. Get used to it.

I don't always go killing randomly on a rampage. But when I do, I do it silently. STAY HIDDEN, MY FRIENDS!

I am wondering as you can see in the title if DayZ will start to increase in price from 30$ to the 40-60sh range as it continues to get better with fixes and add-ons. Do you think I should buy it now, or wait? Also I don't care that a lot of stuff is missing, because I will still enjoy playing.
