Sounds like a bad case of Hoti-spot-ospawningin. Many players lurk up in those tents. Even in low 8 people players, I was ambushed by 2 players while looting those tents.

OH i'm sorry, let me rephrase that for you so you can understand. The DEVs are struggling to create things that were already in the mod.

I know it's a kind of different engine and all but I kind of find it sad that we are just struggling to get the stuff that was already in the mod.

Tl;DR: Dayz is a pile of shit

I think it would be cool if we could decorate/ cover our guns and bodies up with leaves, sticks, and other natural things we find out in the woods. I mean, we don't need full on ghillie suits or anything but just a little natural camouflage can do the trick. Plus bushes are friends. Just cover the gun up with a few leaves and then you can poke your little barrel out and be one with the bush.

Do bots just automatically make accounts on random forums and spam advertise their stupid stuff?

Dayum. 1 Frame Per Second. That's pretty bad. In the mod my computer could get down to 10-14 FPS in cities like cherno on full servers but this... Anyway, my computer runs great in the StandAlone now. I just turn my settings down and I get 20-30 FPS in cities, and 40-50 out in the wild. Doesn't need to be really high quality settings either. The rendering and grass, it barely looks different when you change it down, but it helps your PC a ton. Just turn stuff down that you think you wouldn't notice or don't care about.

I just found out about this bug while I was messing around with the configuration while in-game. I was shot a while back and I'm still getting my blood back the screen is still blurry. But what I noticed is if you go to the menu, then click configure, your screen magically turns back into a clear state as if you have full health. I mean, you aren't suppose to be able to see clearly but if you get shot, you could just do this to get your eye sight back and fight back. The thing is, if you leave a server and come back, your normal blurry eye sight returns but you can just do the glitch again.

People keep bitching and complaining that it's a "broken game" FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, IT'S ONLY IN ALPHA. YOU CANNOT EXPECT AN ENTIRE FUNCTIONING FUCKING GAME IN "ALPHA". IT'S NOT EVEN BETA GUYS. HOLY SHIT!!

Yep, the 1:1 thing is way to fast. Even if you put the sensitivity on both X and Y all the way down, it is as if there is some default sensitivity in the game so the configuration doesn't even do anything. It's so fast and twichy you can do multiple 360s in a swipe of your mouse. Doesn't feel good at all and isn't realistic. Even when you aim down the sights, you have to really concentrate on those far shots with things like ACOGs and PUs because it's so fast.

Wondering if the 3D scopes in DayZ will some time in the future have the peripheral vision around it have normal FoV and only the scope be zoomed in. The reason I want this is because it looks ugly the way it is now, with the entire screen zoomed in. It also appears kind of lazy like they didn't want work on it. Seriously, most games now are getting more advanced scopes. Something like this: But right now it seems we are still stuck back in 2008, where programmers 6 years ago are doing what is implemented in DayZ. Either the engine can't do this in DayZ can't do this or Devs can't do it. Yes, I know it does have a costly performance but still, it seems better and less lazy. I hope this gets implemented in the future or by the time dayz is released as full game.

Oh god mods. As nice as they were for the DayZ Mod, people went severely crazy with mod and there were about 20 of them. Too many, too many choices, too little people. It spread the people out so thin, there were basically nobody on the real servers anymore. I call it the DayZ Killer disease. If they allow modding for DayZ which I hope they don't, before anyone releases a mod, I hope that mod has to go through some kind of check list to make it past a certain quality criteria so we don't end up with 10000 shit mods like last time.

Well I loaded up DayZ and was scrolling across the server list when I saw some server with a few people in it that was named "Come on baby, show your skills ;)" Now I can only assume that server was in some kind of cluster fuck death match arena place because first off, "show your skills"? That right there is encouraging people to come in and shove bullets up peoples asses. "Come on baby" Oh yes, get the maniacs too. All I could do was laugh while looking at that damn server name rofl.

You know. This is VERY interesting to me. Infact, today I was looting the NWAF tents and your story sounds SO similar to mine, except positions are switched. Basically I had my M4 and I was simply trying to find a better scope since mine was broken. I was shooting this military zombie about 4 times with my M4. Then I just stood there and in my mind I was like "COME AT ME ZOMBIES". After 5 seconds, I hear a mosin shot and some M4 shots sprayed at me very closely as if they were a tent row down. LUCKY for me they were super bad shots and some how only 1 bullet hit me which put me into a blurry state. I ran for my life into the forest where I killed a zombie that was chasing me, then I stopped and waited. After a while I ran off. Anyway, it is kind of like a reverse of your story because THEY were the ones watching me as I was looting, but instead they decided to shoot. We could have become friends! But I guess nobody likes a stranger holding up a gun.

A nice glitch. It just seems to be a lighting issue. Another weird lighting issue is that if you are in a building, a tent, or barrack, and the sun is being covered by the roof or top cover. When you step right outside and you have direct access to the sun, a weird thing happens in the sky and the sun turns into this huge black blob on your screen for a few good seconds.

I have one word to describe DayZ that I think will fit very accurately to the community. PARANOIA

Never gotten wiped. I always play on the same servers hosted by the same people. Have a strict server switching rule. I don't trust other servers with weird names or look suspicious.

Wow, after reading all these people post "It's becoming cod like!!!!! waaaaaaah!", it feels like these kids just want something to bitch about in DayZ to say it's not being realistic anymore. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. If even ANYTHING you feel relates to CoD, you people start screaming about it and whining.
