Just bought this game finally, I've been lurking for a long time waiting for SA but that's just a pipe dream atm. Really enjoying the game atm, still getting the hang of it(dying to zombies mostly) but it's fun. Made this thread though, because this game scares the crap out of me when I play it. I feel like my CPU is going to explode, unstable FPS stutters from time to time. I'm tempted to just go low/normal on everything. MY pc specs are fine, I run BF4 on ultra, but I understand this game is badly optimized, maybe I will lower the video settings. Also, I have a question, I have this terrible blur in-game while playing it feels like a motion blur setting or something, and it's quite annoying. It makes it hard for me to see from far and it gives me a headache while playing for a long time. Is that normal, the blur on the screen? I've watched some videos and streams and it looks more sharper. Could it be my monitor? PC Specs(for to who it interests): CPU: i5 3570k GPU: 760 2gb RAM: 8 Gigs OS: Win. 8

Yeah, I changed the 3D settings to match the res. that fixed that, thank you.
-
@Herrjon yeah thanks, I assume it was the res and stuff. @Beck I've been looking for that setting for so long already, maybe I should just sit around and mess with it, usually I get distracted and give up after a few seconds. :P
-
Just curious. CPU: I5 3570k GPU: EVGA SuperClocked GTX 760 2 gb Memory: 2x4 gb SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB HDD: 1TB FPS?

Your rig is fine, just have to remember this game eats up cpu's because of how bad it is optimized.

DayZ Alpha won't launch until launched !
Dyckman replied to [email protected]'s topic in Mod Announcements & Info
It's good they're working hard on the game and don't want to release it early. They have to understand though, they should take advantage of the hype... The longer you wait the more chances of screwing it up because of how careful you are. IMO the game looked very playable for an Alpha build. The zombies looked okay to me, if they can launch an Alpha version where people will not have issues connecting on many different specs, then why not? I've played many games in Alpha and enjoyed them knowing there was more to come. Alpha is never a stage to enjoying a game, it's more to peak inside the chest. Right now people just want the zombies synced better. Rocket should panic if the game is in Beta and the Zeds are terrible still, then he has a reason to panic... right now game looks nice and playable, but in the end it's up to him. -
This Mod will eat your cpu alive. I just depends on you. Upgrade your old set up to be able to just barely run games or buy a whole new one and ENJOY your games. A new build isn't as expensive as it seems, especially if you already have a monitor keyboard/mouse.

New CPU, GPU, Mobo... Just build a new pc if you plan to play this game. :P
-
What do you think...? You have a streaming pc more or less. Hehe, no. Upgrade, upgrade. It's time for an upgrade.
-
Build it yourself, you're wrong there is a lot of videos that show you. Every PC build is similar if not the same even AMD and Intel builds, only difference is AMD CPU's and Intel have different sockets so you'll need a different mobo. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmWNCO9wSjzOz1UV8jCvIHA His guides are good and in debt and ease your "I'll break my pc if I build it myself fear" You will absolutely love building your pc. You turn that baby on, and you're like "yep I build that work of art".
-
This is good, will get nice airflow I was going to get the exact same GPU. Buy this with no regret. If you want get the 6350 vishera instead.
-
In a lot of cases the PSU cables will not reach all around the build Could get a better mobo even GPU... Could get a better "newbie" case as well that will work much better than the one listed and same price. I don't think I'd make a 600 budget build with an i5 3570k
-
Never, ever buy a custom build unless you plan to change some parts off the bat. These things are terrible, some will give you a cheap mobo and/or just have a bad bottleneck in the system. You could of easily build a better pc for less with a better CPU. You will be able to play the game no doubt, maybe even stream... But it wasn't a wise choice to buy that.
-
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kaye23/saved/1ILy You don't need the wireless adapter, that's just if you don't plan to hook up an ethernet core to the pc. Could invest into a better Mobo and/or an ssd just to make it faster for booting times.
-
Don't.go.cheap. Save 600 and you'll have a nice gaming machine you won't have to upgrade right away. Where are you from, I just link you a build that will satisfy your needs(if you're in the US ofc, but still can use the link on choosing parts).
-
If he wants to record, he should go with the Fx 8350 Vishera.
-
Yeah, you will.
-
Some of you should really look at this, knowledge yourself around his/hers example. Right now in this date you should be on a : I5 3570k GTX 650 TI 8 GB ram or AMD 6350 Vishera Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 8 GB ram If you want to game nicely and/or play Day Z You should invest in these things, go cheap and you'll be upgrading as time passes. You want to hit the right spot. My buddy built a build with just $ 550 and it did him justice, so all is possible. FYI - Wait it out a bit, pc components are never constant. Sometimes they'll be 50 dollars off sometimes they'll be regular. Aim high and wait for the low prices, summer sale soon. ;)
-
That's a good pc, you can run the game but don't expect anything spectacular(remember this game is badly optimized) for other games this is a nice pc.
-
Not so good, nor at all IMO. Pentium is an old CPU, right now your "minimum" CPU should be at least an i3 but if you plan to game just settle for something with an i5 and build around it.
-
I don't understand what you mean by stereotype. The difference between a 2x4 and a 4x4 is great and different than comparing a 6350 and an 8350 :P. For example, You build a pc revolving around a 6350 you will be at around 600-800 dollars and it will give you many years. 8350 as well, but you'll spend around 800-1000. Let's be honest I'd let to purchase an 8350 vishera, but I'd match that baby with a sabertooth 990fx just to get maximum quality. I'm not saying you're wrong and with all due respect we all fight for our money(to some extent) When I find myself building an Intel build it's standard y'know when it comes to budget. You're gonna go with an i5 3570k and a "bang for the price" GPU would be a GTX 650 TI 2 gb or equivalent. That's the beauty with AMD you have more choices and save a lot more money and only get a what 10-20% difference from an Intel equivalent build which will cost more? Don't get me wrong Intel is awesome but I'll assume everyone is a budget gamer and who doesn't love saving money? Just, if I were to make the suggestion build to use as a guideline I'd be using a 6350 and a GPU like an HD 7770 vapor-x slap a nice mobo that can run these no problem and 8 gb of RAM 1 TB of HDD and this baby will give you a lot of years.
-
I think it's safe to say a 6350 will give you some nice years... You're not really losing anything when you go with AMD especially with how much money you'll spend compared to an intel. I think you should keep the future to some extent, but I'd just build a budget pc that's easy to upgrade in the future. There's two types of people, one's that can spend money and those that have to keep an eye on it. I think it's safe to say many of the people building pc's are budget gamers. FX 6350 will do you justice, even 2 years from now. But if you're heavy duty with your computer, I agree settle for an 8350 vishera. Edit: Just since you made the builds based on "anything better than this should be good" why not just start from "medicore" like a 6350 Vishera? :P Then people can just build their way up from there. I just think with AMD you're more "Safer" so to speak when it comes to money and upgrading compared to Intel which leans towards "I have money to spend" crowd IMO.
-
You should revise that, make two builds for the budget pc gamer. BTW an FX 6350 Vishera will do just fine IMO.
-
Just buy a custom pc build. I won't depend on a laptop for my gaming needs.
-
Ah, checked out the site for a bit, all I saw were pre-builds with just a few customization. Even still, I'm sure you could get all of that on amazon/newegg for much cheaper if you build the exact same build.
