So this post is just to say hi new players i have playing dayz since version 1.6 and i belive i have a fair knowlage of the game. So here is my offer for you, the other day me and 2 of my friends decided to make a camp on our one of our home servers we have enough gear to share and help a few people(AKM, M16A ,2 lee enfields and 2 winchesters some handguns and we are working on stocking up more tools Ie: matches hunting, knifes ,ect.) I am willing to help you out bring you to our camp(if i feel like i start to trust you) and teach you the basics of survival and how to just live aside from when you encounther other players they are always unpredictable. PM me here if you are intreseted or add me on skype(Daniel Slidders its the picture of that cat cause i have had moar then 1 skype) we are all on US/CA east coast. If you want to play with us today/night and give it a try your more then welcome to join us we are on a quest of any car bike bus ect, so we can pick each other up and loots towns with ease. Looking forward to hearin from some of you. Who knows mbby we will be a clan 1 day =] GL and keep on surviving

It's ok if you do not have skype there are a lot of other programs or even a VoIP in game so im not to worried =](also i have hands so i believe i can type.... well i think i can at least)((tru story))

Because i so want your flashlight and painkillers as im walking around with a CZ550 and a 1911 and have over 5 or 6 different military weps at our camp Also on that note how do i know once i help one of u find a good gun u wont kill me for my sniper or if show u my camp u and some friends wont take all of our shit. Its all about trust bro i dont treat this game as a slow TDM as most do. The point of the game is to survive for as long as possible and with more people you last longer i know this from playing for so long but yea ill kill u if u shoot first but u wont catch me firing the first bullet ever. Sorry want to create a positive community of people who are like minded like me? Not everyone shoots first and asks questions later and im sick of that attitude in this game and tbh you are promoting it by telling new players to not trust anyone.

This game has very small learning curve(all u need to know is how to avoid zombies and u can look at an online map where to find things such a steap learning curve right?) play smart this isnt l4d where u run around an just kill zombies the learning curv is not steap at all never did a tutorial watched a few vids and i was good to go if ur having problems with the way things are mapped/binded to ur keyboard change it honestly we are pc gamers we can choose what keys do what(example: instead of numlock enter for 3rd person i use Q because Q was used for nothing important in dayz...) Steep learning curve my ass.

Also mbby ur joining wrong server types make sure u search ur beta version when findin a server like atm im at 95248 dont have the 95310 cause six updater has added it yet

Just update ur battle eye from the website did u buy the game on steam? if so that is the reason my friend couldnt get on any server untill he updated it the battleye would give the same msg and on top of htat on the server i would see that it failed also so lon story sort go here and download/follow instrustions on how to update i hope u enjoy ur time in DayZ =] http://www.battleye.com/download.html make sure u get the server and client version hope this solves it

Does it work with steam? my buddy just got the game and i was wondering he he could use it i have a retail copy so i dont know what method is the best for steam users any help on a quick setup would be nice

So i have my hatchet my knife and my matches but once i kill an animal and "Gut" it the screen says i sould get x ammount of meat well... its not there i can't open the animals bodies to gather it is this a known bug or is my game just fucked?

Do i need to download from here or will the launcher do it all 4 meh?

I dont own one but yes you would map the keys to what you want the pad would most likey come with some software/driver to to control and map teh keys. Like my g15 keyboard i can use a driver to make my macros custom so i picture it would be the same also by gamepad do you mean a controller? like 360 or w/e Because if you looking into buying a controller you you have a 360 wired controller ur good to go or even a PS3 controller with the usb charger using a program called motionjoy works wonders =]

Are there any Clans out there that play DayZ and are recuiting because if not id like to start my own if enough people would like to participate. I have plans to make a site and everything(If people want to start one). I am just just sick of playing alone(because no1 uses VoIP and just treats everyone as a KoS target) and id like to create my own community if i cant find one becuase this feel like the kind of game that was ment to be played and enjoyed with other people. I love posts that refer to CoD players and how we are bad... I have over 700 kills on zombies and about 3 murders(only cause they tried to kill me first) and i havent died yet since this new patch the game is the same to me at least. But what i dont get is why u are stero typing people for games they like that would be like me saying "HEY F**K U U WOW NERD PLAY A REAL MMO"(Yes i do hate wow with a passion but i still respect that people like it and it is a good game). I agree with you post on how this comunity isnt the greatest but how are you helping by making this post? I always thought starting with out a wep would make the game more enjoyable because if u read the story honestly u washed up on shore so.. makes sence to me. Last thought i have on ur post is ur a Goof for hating on people and there games just saying CoD may suck to you but is amazing for others like "Pros" or even just fanboys which clearly you are not sir. Forgot to mention people like you are also runing this comunity with your one track i hate CoD player mindset get over it everyone is different and will chose to play a game how they want.

So i have found a map 2 times now and on one server i was on i was not able to see myself on the map now on this new server i can see my self so is supose to be in the game or is this server just ez mode?
